Best MLB Prop Bets Today 2024 09 19

The early part of the week didn’t go our way, but we crushed it on Wednesday, winning four of five prop bets, including three with plus odds. Obviously, we’re hoping to replicate that success on Thursday and put together another strong outing.

The odds for Thursday’s prop bets come from bet365 Sportsbook, which gives new users an option between two welcome promos. They can either grab $200 in bonus bets for making a $5 bet or get a safety net bet on their first wager up to $1,500.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Phillies vs. Mets (7:15 PM, EST)

Luis Severino Over 17.5 Outs (-165) at bet365

The value may not be here, but Severino is a safe bet to last at least six innings. He’s recorded at least 18 outs in all three of his starts in September, including a start on Saturday against the Phillies. Severino has solid career numbers against most of Philly’s hitters, so he’s not likely to get knocked around. Since the Mets don’t trust their bullpen depth that much, they’re going to stick with Severino for as long as they can in this game.

Jose Iglesias Over 1.5 Hits (+175) at bet365

Iglesias has been an underrated part of the Mets being in a Wild Card position right now. He’s also one of their hottest hitters at the moment, putting together a 12-game hitting streak. That includes multiple-hit games in four of his last six games, including two of the three games he played against the Phillies last weekend. Iglesias, who is batting .329 on the season, is also 4 for 12 in his career against Taijuan Walker, who starts for the Phillies on Thursday despite a dreadful season. At +175, it’s worth taking a chance on Iglesias to collect multiple hits on Thursday.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Diamondbacks vs. Brewers (7:15 PM, EST)

Brandon Pfaadt Over 2.5 ER (+105) at bet365

The D’Backs need Pfaadt to step up, but we’re going to fade him. He got bounced in the second inning of his last start, giving up eight runs on seven hits. That start came against the same Milwaukee lineup he’ll face on Thursday. That was also the sixth consecutive start that Pfaadt gave up at least three runs. Somehow, Arizona has won six of the last nine games he’s started. However, Pfaadt posted a 6.04 ERA in August and has an 11.25 ERA across his three starts in September, so betting on him to give up at least three runs is a no-brainer.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Nationals vs. Cubs (7:40 PM, EST)

Javier Assad Under 2.5 ER (-110) at bet365

The entire Washington lineup was quiet during a trip to New York earlier this week, scoring just two total runs across three games against the Mets. That makes us think Assad can continue to keep this young lineup quiet. In fairness, Assad has allowed at least three runs in three of his last four starts. That includes a start against the Nationals at the end of August. However, he has a 2.24 ERA at Wrigley Field this year as opposed to 4.17 on the road. Assad should have a better plan of attack in this start and feel more comfortable at home, giving him the chance to put together a quality start.

Cody Bellinger Over 1.5 Total Bases (+145) at bet365

It’s been a while since we targeted Bellinger, but he’s started to heat up lately. Bellinger has four multiple-hit games in his last six games while going over 1.5 total bases six times in his last nine games. Surprisingly, he has good numbers in his career against lefty Patrick Corbin, going 8 for 20 (.400) against him. Bellinger has actually handled lefties well this year, posting a better average and an almost identical slugging percentage against southpaws. That gives us confidence that Bellinger will stay hot and collect multiple bases for the Cubs on Thursday.
