The Eastern Conference All-Stars are a very diverse group. Captained by Giannis Antetokounmpo, the East has an intimidating lineup featuring Jayson Tatum, Damian Lillard, and Tyrese Haliburton. The individual talent in the East is incredible, and the balance of their lineup may be their biggest strength.

The story is a bit different once you scan the East’s bench. Bam Adebayo and Donovan Mitchell have been All-Star mainstays, but the East boasts four fantastic first-time All-Stars in Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Maxey, Scottie Barnes, and Paolo Banchero. It’s also important to note that Knicks forward Julius Randle and Sixers center Joel Embiid suffered injuries and will not play.

If there’s one thing the East has, it’s energy. Sometimes, setting the pace to open the game can put All-Star teams far enough that the other can’t recover. However, the East bench is significantly less established, and they don’t quite have the reserve scoring punch of the West.
