The NBA is set to put on an exciting Friday night with eight games on the schedule, and we're keeping an eye on some of the evening's most dynamic guards!
When the Atlanta Hawks take on the Cleveland Cavaliers, Trae Young will hope to maintain his brilliant playmaking form. Defensive ace Luguentz Dort's impact on the boards will be the focus when the Oklahoma City Thunder face the Phoenix Suns. And Paul George's playmaking is in question given the LA Clippers' new additions when they take on the Sacramento Kings.

Trae Young may not have his Atlanta Hawks where he wants them to be in the standings, but his production hasn't fallen off. At Caesars Sportsbook, Trae Young is a +106 to clear 10.5 assists when he takes on the Atlanta Hawks.
On the season, Young is averaging 26.7 points, 10.3 assists, and 2.9 rebounds on 42.8% from the field and 32.4% from three-point range. Through his last five games before the All-Star break, Young found himself averaging 24.0 points, 14.0 assists, and 3.4 rebounds on 41.0% from the field and 35.3% from three-point range.
Trae Young is a fantastic playmaker due to the constant threat he provides on the offensive end of the court. He's cleared 10.5 assists in 23 of his 52 contests this season but has cleared the total in his last five games. Against the traditional lineup that the Cavaliers employ, expect Young's playmaking to be in full effect.
Luguentz Dort is the designated stopper for the Oklahoma City Thunder, and his ability to get on the glass is a boon to his team. At PointsBet, Luguentz Dort is a +100 to clear 3.5 rebounds when he takes on the Phoenix Suns.
On the season, Dort is averaging 14.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists on 41.2% from the field and 35.6% from the three-point range. Through his last three games before the All-Star break, Dort averaged 13.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists on 54.5% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range.
Dort's rebounding is likely to get back on track when he faces the Phoenix Suns. He's cleared 3.5 rebounds in 23 of his 50 games so far this season, and his recent numbers are a bit skewed due to his lower usage. If Dort gets his usual minutes against the Suns, his activity on the court suggests he should clear 3.5 rebounds with ease.

Paul George has been an auxiliary playmaker for the Clippers this season, but with LA's new additions, his creation will be in question. At DraftKings Sportsbook, Paul George is a +105 to fall short of 4.5 assists when he takes on the Sacramento Kings.
On the season, George is averaging 23.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.3 assists on 46.1% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point range. Through his last five games, George has averaged 22.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists on 43.6% from the field and 32.6% from three-point range.
With the addition of Russell Westbrook, we see George taking a less prominent role as a playmaker with these new-look Clippers. While he's cleared 4.5 assists in 24 of his 44 games this season, George is likely to defer to his new point guard in order to get him integrated into the offense. Expect the Clippers All-Star to fall short of 4.5 assists for the 21st time this season.
