With just seven games on the NBA's Monday night schedule, keep an eye out for some key players whose recent form makes for exciting prop bets!
Despite being known as a shooter, Buddy Hield's ability as a defender is the focus when the Indiana Pacers face the Detroit Pistons. Desmond Bane is thriving without Ja Morant in the lineup for the Memphis Grizzlies, and he'll look to lead his team to another win over the Dallas Mavericks. And when the Phoenix Suns take on the Golden State Warriors, Devin Booker's recent uptick in playmaking production should maintain even without Durant in the lineup.
Let's check out the bets!
Indiana Pacers sharpshooter Buddy Hield is much more known for his shooting than his defense. However, at DraftKings Sportsbook, Hield is a +125 to clear 1.5 steals when he faces the Detroit Pistons. Against an inexperienced and poorly performing side, this bet has a great opportunity to hit!
On the season, Hield is averaging 17.3 points, 5.0 rebounds,2.7 assists, and a career-high 1.2 steals on 45.8% from the field and 42.8% from three-point range. In back-to-back games, both wins for the Pacers, Hield has averaged 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals on 46.4% from the field and 44.4% from three-point range. His activity on the defensive end has stayed the same, but he's taking advantage of turnover-prone teams.
Through 68 appearances this season, Hield has cleared 1.5 steals in 24 games. He's also cleared 1.5 steals in three of his last five games. Committing 15.1 turnovers per game (25th in the NBA), the Detroit Pistons are far from responsible with the ball - Hield should succeed in clearing 1.5 steals again.
Desmond Bane has stepped up for the Memphis Grizzlies this season, and it's helped propel his team to the top of the conference. At PointsBet, Bane is a +110 to clear 5.5 assists when he faces the Dallas Mavericks for the second straight game. With Ja Morant likely unavailable for another match, Bane should again thrive as a playmaker.
On the season, Bane is averaging 21.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists on 46.8% from the field and 41.1% from the three-point range. Over his last five games, Bane has averaged 20.4 points, 5.0 assists, and 4.4 rebounds on 44.6% from the field and 32.3% from three-point range. Despite those relatively muted numbers, they are skewed due to some offsetting totals.
Desmond Bane has collected over 5.5 assists in just 13 of his 44 appearances this season. However, Bane has cleared 5.5 assists in three of his last five games. In the second game of a back-to-back against the Mavericks, Bane should thrive as a playmaker again. Given his threat from three and Dallas' injury list, including star men Doncic and Irving, Bane is expected to dominate the matchup.

While the Phoenix Suns lost Kevin Durant to a minor injury in a recent outing, Devin Booker remains the central focus for the Phoenix Suns offense. At Caesars Sportsbook, Booker is a +102 to collect more than 6.5 assists when he faces the Golden State Warriors. Already a fantastic playmaker, Booker is in the proper form to win this bet.
On the season, Devin Booker is averaging 27.7 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.6 rebounds on 49.1% from the field and 36.9% from the three-point range. He's been excellent over his last ten games, averaging 30.1 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.4 rebounds on 53.5% shooting from the field and 38.1% from three-point range. Booker's recent uptick in production has partly been due to the addition of Kevin Durant and an improved focus as the Suns climb the Western Conference standings.
Shorthanded due to injury, Booker's usage will be as high as ever, giving him plenty of opportunities to assist against Golden State's relaxed defense. Over his last ten games, Booker has cleared 6.5 assists in six appearances and 15 of his 40 games overall. The Suns will be undeterred against the Warriors, who allow 25.8 assists per game (17th in the NBA), while Phoenix averages 27.2 assists per game (3rd in the NBA).
