Best NBA Prop Bets Today November 2nd 2023

Steph Curry over 4.5 threes (-122)

Curry averaged eight threes and made at least six threes in all three matchups against the Oklahoma City Thunder last season. He’s also, unsurprisingly, off to another red-hot start from beyond the arc, making 5.6 triples per game and converting 45.9% of his attempts.

The Thunder want to play fast and in transition, which leads to mismatch opportunities on the defensive end. Lu Dort is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, but Curry can get his shot off any time he wants, and we like him to go over.

Tyler Herro over 23.5 points (-122)

Herro is averaging nearly five points more than Damian Lillard, whom many people thought he should be traded for in the offseason. The 23-year-old has put up 26.2 per night and gone over 22.5 in three of five games, including a 30-point outburst on Wednesday.

The Washington Wizards look like one of the worst teams in the NBA and are 28th in defensive rating. They have no great perimeter or even adequate defenders at that, and Herro should get plenty of open looks at the hoop.

Marcus Smart over 14.5 points (-111)

It turns out that losing Ja Morant, Steven Adams, Derrick Rose, and Santi Aldama will have devastating effects on your team. The 0-5 Memphis Grizzlies are still searching for their first win of the season but are getting a Portland Trail Blazers squad that has been highly disappointing thus far.

Smart, as the veteran in the Grizz’s starting lineup, needs to step up and get his team out of their funk. The longtime Boston Celtic hit more than 14.5 in three of five games and is shooting 50% from the field, so we like him to go over on Friday.

Nikola Jokic triple-double (+240)

Jokic is—what’s the word—unguardable. He came into the season looking like he hadn’t missed a beat and is averaging 26.2 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 7.4 assists on 60.4% shooting. He has two triple-doubles in five games and will primarily be covered by rookie Dereck Lively II.

Lively has been a revelation, but he’s too young and inexperienced to truly bother the reigning Finals MVP. Jokic also put up a triple-double the last time he met the Mavericks and will be in competition with Luka Doncic to see who can be more excellent on the night.

Giannis Antetokounmpo over 26.5 points (-122)

Giannis is the Milwaukee Bucks’ leading scorer at 24.5 points per night and also leads them in field goal attempts per game (16.8). He’s made it clear that he wants Lillard to feel as comfortable as possible, but after a 130-111 loss to the Raptors, we expect him to step up and lead his team to a win.

Giannis averaged 29.7 points in three games against the New York Knicks last year and is one of few players with the raw strength to overpower Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson. The Knicks do a tremendous job guarding the three-point line, so look for the Bucks to dump the ball to Giannis and let him go to work.
