Best NBA Player Props and Bets for December 21

Cade Cunningham Under 24.5 Points (-110) at FanDuel

Cade was awesome last game, putting up 43 points on 66.7% field goal shooting against the Atlanta Hawks. He also dropped 25 points the game before but went under this line in six straight games just before that.

The Utah Jazz aren’t known for their defense, but they’ve done a nice job against the last few point guards they’ve faced. Cade also seems deflated the majority of the time he’s on the court amid his team’s incomprehensible 24-game losing streak, and he isn’t a strong enough three-point shooter to cheaply add points to his tally.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 22.5 Points (-135) at FanDuel

The Indiana Pacers have played seven games against All-NBA-level big men (Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, Anthony Davis, and Karl-Anthony Towns—in those games, they gave up an average of 44.6 points (!!!) and 13.3 rebounds. They even let Ivica Zubac go for 18 points and 16 rebounds in 26 minutes when they played late last week.

Even though Ja Morant didn’t look like he missed a beat in his return, Jackson Jr. is in a great spot to take advantage of the Pacers’ lack of size. Indy sells out to guard the three-point line, so he’ll have to be willing to drive the lane, but he’ll get plenty of looks in a high-tempo, high-possession game.

Karl-Anthony Towns Over 9.5 Rebounds (-115) at FanDuel

KAT only averaged 8.1 boards per game last year, his first playing with Rudy Gobert, but he’s back up to 9.6 this season and went over his total in four of his last five games. He’ll be going to battle against Anthony Davis, the league’s leading rebounder, but he just brought down 13 boards against Joel Embiid last night.

Both the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers are on the second night of back-to-backs and should shoot slightly worse than they normally do because of the lack of energy, which will lead to more rebounding opportunities. The Lakers are also one of the worst teams shooting the ball outside of the paint and don’t rebound well from the wings.

Victor Wembanyama Over 13.5 Rebounds (-120) at FanDuel

Wemby averaged a whopping 15.8 rebounds after being moved into the starting center role while Zach Collins went to the bench. He hauled in 20 rebounds in his first game at the five against the Chicago Bulls, who he is about to go against again on Thursday night.

The Bulls are third in rebound rate over the last 10 games but don’t have anyone in their starting lineup with the size to displace or disrupt the French sensation under the rim. Wemby also hasn’t played since Sunday and should feel fresh and rejuvenated, which is another reason to expect a strong outing from him.

Jerami Grant Over 2.5 Threes (-115) at FanDuel

Grant is not only shooting a career-best 41.2% from three-point land, but he’s making a career-high 2.5 threes per game on, you guessed it, a career-high 6.2 attempts per game. He made three threes in his last two games and cashed the over in 14 of his last 18 games.

The Washington Wizards are 29th in defensive rating and just about average in three-point defense (36.9% - 14th). They also allowed Keegan Murray, a comparable player to Grant, to make four threes in their last outing and should present a favorable matchup for Grant.
