WSN is the place to get the best NBA player props and betting picks every day throughout the 2023-24 NBA season.

The Minnesota Timberwolves used a fourth-quarter comeback to beat the short-handed Memphis Grizzlies, but not before Jaren Jackson Jr.’s 36-point night helped us cash a 30+ point scorer ticket for +320.

Jalen Brunson also helped the New York Knicks avoid an upset at the hands of the Washington Wizards, while the Oklahoma City Thunder managed to calm down the raging fire that is the Utah Jazz.

Here are our favorite NBA player prop picks for Friday.

Best NBA Prop Bets Today January 19

Tre Jones under 7.5 assists (-122) at FanDuel

Jones dished out 11 and 12 helpers in his last two games, so allow us to explain why we like his under on Friday. The San Antonio Spurs are facing a terrible Charlotte Hornets defense but are without star center Victor Wembanyama, who’s provided the majority of the team’s offense recently.

Despite Wemby’s absence, leaving a larger role for Devin Vassell and Jeremy Sochan in the offense, both have struggled whenever they played without him. Jones went under this line in eight of nine games before the two most recent outings and should return to that standard on Friday.

Austin Reaves over 14.5 points (-128) at FanDuel

Reaves has not taken the leap that many Los Angeles Lakers fans hoped he would, but he’s averaged 15.4 points on 58.1% field goal shooting this month. He cashed the over in five of his last nine outings and has a stylistic advantage against the Brooklyn Nets.

Brooklyn is 21st in defensive rating and ranks 23rd in three-point percentage allowed. With the primary defenders (Nix Claxton, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Mikal Bridges) occupied by the larger scoring threats on LA’s offense, Reaves should get one of the lesser defenders on a team that struggles to get stops.

Brandon Ingram over 19.5 points (-113) at FanDuel

Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans are facing Kevin Durant, whom many people compare the 26-year-old to, and the Phoenix Suns. Although he was in a terrible shooting slump in the middle of the month and only went over one time in January, the one time was his last outing when he scored 28 points and made a season-high seven threes.

The Suns play little to no defense and don’t seem keen on changing that any time soon. Ingram also scored 22 and 28 points the last time he faced Durant (then with the Nets) and should come out firing after his strong performance in his last game.

Jaylen Brown over 5.5 rebounds (+112) at FanDuel

The Boston Celtics are taking on the defending champion Denver Nuggets at home, where they’re an astonishing 19-0. The three-point shot has been crucial to Boston’s success, as they take and make more triples than any team in the league.

The Nuggets are average defending the three and are only 15th in defensive rebound percentage, which means there should be extra long offensive rebounding opportunities. Brown cleared this line in each of his last five matchups with Denver and also in three of his last four games, which is reason enough to back him here.

Paolo Banchero under 1.5 threes (-130) at FanDuel

Banchero only takes four threes per game and is 3-22 from range over his last five games. He did not make multiple three-pointers in any of those games and is going against a Philadelphia 76ers squad that allows the worst three-point percentage in the league (33.8%).

With Franz Wagner out due to an ankle injury, Banchero can’t afford to take any possessions off. He’s averaging 27.3 points in January but does most of his damage in and around the painted area, and we expect to see something similar to close out the workweek.
