How can the Celtics beat the Bucks?
The Boston Celtics are facing their toughest opposition of the season, and it is showing in their performance. After their struggles and subsequent comeback in Game 3, the Celtics need to find a consistent offensive performance through 4 quarters.
Due to the quality of the Bucks’ defence, Boston were unable to shoot over 35% from the field for a single quarter until the fourth quarter. Through the third quarter of the game, no Celtic was able to convert on more than one field goal.
Much of their offensive struggles stem from Tatum’s poor night, as well as their lack of a natural playmaker. If they can find extra opportunities on the glass, where they’ve lost to the Bucks, it can make up for their struggling offence.

Considering the Boston Celtics were just 2 points from pushing overtime, many Celtics fans are rightly disappointed with Tatum’s Game 3 showing. If Boston hope to level the series, Tatum needs to lead his team and be more productive.
In Boston’s Game 3 loss to the Bucks, Tatum was dreadful offensively. He posted just 10 points, 3 assists, and 1 rebound on 4 of 19 shooting from the field and 0 of 6 shooting from three-point range.
If the Celtics hope to level the series, Tatum needs to make an impact on the offensive end. His teammates have done a good job making up for his absence, but his production opens up the Celtics’ entire offence.
How can the Bucks beat the Celtics?
The Milwaukee Bucks continue to dominate the Celtics in the paint. If they hope to push Boston to the brink of elimination, they need to get back to punishing teams from three-point range. The loss of Middleton hurts their three-point quality, but they are more than capable with their current pieces.
The Bucks only shot 40.4% from the field in Game 3 against the Boston Celtics, but they shot over 56% from two-point range. Many of their two-point field goals came from Antetokounmpo’s dominance, but they also punished the Celtics on the offensive glass and on closeouts.
If Milwaukee can maintain their dominance on the boards, while also sprinkling in some improved three-point shooting, they would be in excellent position to win Game 4.

In the Milwaukee Bucks’ Game 3 victory, Giannis Antetokounmpo put on a superstar performance to establish their lead in the series. If Antetokounmpo can maintain his dominance, the Celtics are unlikely to have an answer for the Bucks.
Antetokounmpo’s production for the Bucks in Game 3 was massive. He posted 42 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals in 38 minutes of play. He shot 16 of 30 from the field, but just 1 of 6 from three. His 9 of 12 night from the free throw line was the cherry on top.
The Celtics have been unable to contain Antetokounmpo and his ability to score in the paint. If the Bucks superstar can establish himself early, it’ll only help their offence in the later quarters.
