How Can the Jazz Beat the Sixers?
When the Utah Jazz come up against the Philadelphia Sixers they must be wary. Unlike their last meeting the Sixers are healthy and ready to surround their star center with some capable shooting threats.
The Sixers are by no means one of the best three-point shooting teams in the NBA, but they sure are capable when need be. In their last two games, the Sixers were able to convert on 28 of 70 three-point field goal attempts while maintaining a more than 48% field goal percentage.
It really is pick-your-poison with the Sixers, but the Jazz are certainly capable. Rudy Gobert patrols paint and Utah’s perimeter defenders are aggressive enough to stop any run. While they won’t contain the paint or three completely, the Jazz must be in position to contest every attempt.
Jazz Key Player: (G) Donovan Mitchell

One half of the Utah Jazz’s dynamic duo, Donovan Mitchell is coming off of a massive scoring night. When he faces the Sixers, he’ll have to overcome a group of versatile defenders.
In his last game, a 32-point victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Mitchell posted 36 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in 34 minutes of play He shot 14 of 23 from the field and 5 of 12 from three.
The Sixers don’t own one of the more consistent defences in the league, but they’ve got a number of energetic and versatile defenders. Once you include Embiid guarding the rim, Mitchell suddenly needs his playmaking to match his scoring.
How Can the Sixers Beat the Jazz?
The last time the Sixers faced off against the Jazz they were dominated. Without Embiid in the lineup, it was just Andre Drummond manning the paint. To steal a victory and even the season series, the Sixers must stay competitive on the glass.
Without the threat of offensive rebounding or being able to secure a defensive rebound, the Jazz ran wild in their last game against Philadelphia. The Sixers were outrebounded 56 to 42 last time out.
The Sixers can’t just rely on Embiid when they come up against Utah, it must be a team effort. If they can compete in the paint, they have a great chance of winning the match.
Sixers Key Player: (C) Joel Embiid
Embiid to… Embiid ?

Joel Embiid’s state of good health is a huge plus to Philadelphia’s chances in this matchup. Coming off of a win against the Hornets, Embiid looks ready to take on the reigning defensive player of the year Rudy Gobert.
In Philly’s 110-106 victory over the Hornets, Embiid had a solid night. He posted 32 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists in 3 minutes of play. Most impressively, Embiid converted on 15 of 19 attempts from the free throw line.
Embiid is coming off of a game where he was very aggressive. That attitude will be needed against the defensively adept Utah Jazz.
