How can the Sixers beat the Nuggets?
The Sixers’ losing streak continues and they just seem outmatched when facing off with some of the stronger teams in the NBA. If they want to beat the Nuggets, they need to put in a more workman-like effort.
The Sixers were dominated on the glass in their last game. Despite Andre Drummond fighting on the boards, the Sixers were outrebounded 56 to 42.
Without a true big man available off the bench, the Sixers need to make rebounding a team effort.
Sixers Key Player: (C) Andre Drummond

With the Sixers not having their key piece in Joel Embiid available. All eyes are on Andre Drummond to step up. While he’s been productive in spurts, it hasn’t been enough to keep them competitive in the East.
Drummond is coming off of a blowout loss to the Jazz where he posted an unimpressive 6 points and 6 rebounds. While he was matched up with Rudy Gobert, he won’t get a break on this night considering he’ll be marking Nikola Jokic on this night.
How Drummond handles Jokic will determine the course of this game. If the Sixers center can’t make an impact, it’ll be another check on the Sixers’ losing streak.
How can the Nuggets beat the Sixers?
The Nuggets are missing their own key pieces, so it isn’t fair to say they’re completely healthy when they face the Sixers. However with Embiid out and just Drummond manning the paint, it is clear that the Nuggets need to exploit the middle.
In Philly’s last game, a loss to the Jazz, they allowed their opponents to shoot 51.7% from the field and 42.1% from three. The Sixers also barely pressured their opponents, forcing just 9 turnovers for the game.
If Denver can successfully attack the paint, they can take this game from the Sixers early. Playing inside-out is their specialty, especially with Jokic leading them.

— Denver Nuggets (@nuggets) November 16, 2021
The reigning NBA Most Valuable Player is doing his best to keep his Denver Nuggets afloat in the Western Conference. Against an Embiid-less Sixers team, we should be seeing a big night from Jokic.
In his last game, a loss to the Dallas Mavericks, Nikola Jokic posted 35 points, 16 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks on 15 of 26 shooting from the field.
It seems like Jokic will always get his numbers, but it is his teammates who are letting him down when things count. The Joker will always remain aggressive, but creating easy opportunities for his teammates is still his best skill.
