Trae Young is currently struggling with a nagging injury, but he’s expected to be available when the Hawks and Sixers face off. Young hasn’t been able to produce as we’ve seen in years past without a solid core this season. With a shorthanded lineup, he’ll have the odds against him.
This season, Young is averaging 27.8 points, 11.0 assists, and 3.1 rebounds on 43.2% from the field and 36.5% from three-point range. He played in one of the Hawks’ last games against the Sixers, posting 22 points, 13 assists, and 2 threes on 35.7% from the floor.
Young has hit under 27.5 points in 17 of his 33 games this season. While that’s a tight margin, the Sixers' defense and willingness to collapse on the Hawks guard suggests he won’t have his typical scoring night.

Tyrese Maxey has been brilliant for the Sixers this season, and with Embiid out with injury, he’s embraced being the first option. Maxey is averaging 25.9 points, 6.6 assists, and 3.6 rebounds on 45.5% from the field and 37.4% from three-point range.
Maxey has hit over 7.5 assists in 13 of his 34 appearances this season. However, he has collected nine assists in each of the Sixers' recent back-to-back losses without Embiid in the lineup. Desperate for a win and leading the point of attack, expect Maxey’s playmaking to continue in its quality.
