Warriors vs Suns Predictions

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors: +645

Spread: Oklahoma City Thunder -3.0 (-110)

The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors face off for the third time this season. While the Thunder aim to push their winning streak to four games in a row, the Warriors hope they can have some key players return from injury to cut their losing streak off at five games. Both sides are desperate for a victory.

One of the best two-way teams in the NBA, the Oklahoma City Thunder stays on course against the Warriors on Saturday. The Thunder have averaged 117.5 points (7th) on 49.3% from the field (3rd) and 39.5% from three-point range (1st). All-NBA First Team member Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads their production with 28.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game on 51.1% from the field and 32.6% from beyond the arc. They’re on a three-game winning streak, finding victory by an average of 22.4 points per game.

The Golden State Warriors are in a difficult situation at the moment. The Warriors’ offense has struggled, still averaging 112.6 points per game (15th) while shooting just 44.2% from the field (26th) and 34.7% from three (7th). Stephen Curry is their sole bright spot, averaging 30.7 points on 48.8% from the field and 44.6% from three while hitting 5.6 threes per game.

The Thunder have listed guard Cason Wallace as questionable for Saturday’s match with a right shoulder sprain. Stephen Curry is questionable for this game with the Warriors because of a knee issue, while Gary Payton II (ankle) and Draymond Green (Suspension) will not participate.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Points Under 30.5 (-106)

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to impress for the Thunder as he's again putting up All-NBA level performances through the early season. The Canadian guards' numbers are slightly down from last season but still impressive, with 28.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 2.6 steals per game on 51.1% from the field and 32.6% from the three-point range.

Through the Thunder's three-game win streak, Gilgeous-Alexander has averaged 29.0 points, 5.3 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.7 steals per game on 49.2% from the floor and 37.5% from three. Gilgeous-Alexander has been impressive, making a slight sacrifice in scoring to produce in other areas of the court.

Gilgeous-Alexander struggled from the field in his last meeting with the Warriors, and he could still put up 24 points. Even still, the Warriors' defense chose to collapse on the Thunder superstar and try to let others beat them on offense - the strategy backfired. Regardless, you should expect the same from the Warriors in their attempts to limit Gilgeous-Alexander from exploding on offense.

Chet Holmgren 2+ Made Threes (+100)

Chet Holmgren has already proven one of the most versatile offensive players on the Thunder roster. He makes up for his lack of strength with size and skill, averaging 15.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, and 1.6 threes per game on 52.9% from the field and 44.2% from the three-point range.

The most impressive part of Homlgren’s game has been his efficiency, as he’s shown patience and awareness on offense befitting of a non-rookie. Holmgren has hit 2+ threes in five of his 12 matches this season, including in the Thunder’s two-point loss to the Warriors earlier in November.
