Both the Warriors and Suns have been missing some key players in their recent meetings. The last time these teams met, the Warriors were dominated by the Suns' perimeter defense and interior presence. With some key contributors unavailable and some poor defensive form from the Suns, the Warriors could earn the upset in this match.

The Golden State Warriors have returned to some positive form, but it certainly isn't off the back of their defence. When they take on the Phoenix Suns, they'll be pitting their second-ranked scoring offence against the leagues top-ranked scoring defence!
The Golden State Warriors shoot 48.0% from the field and 37.3% from three-point range. However, their efficiency comes from their ball movement, where they average 28.9 assists per game - first in the NBA.
It's important for the Warriors to maintain their scoring efficiency when they take on the Suns. If they can't, their defence hasn't been strong enough to limit the stronger teams in the NBA. Keep an eye on the Warriors role players, as their support of Stephen Curry will determine their chances at victory.
The Golden State Warriors seem to be back on the winning track, and in their recent game it was Jordan Poole who starred. One of the NBA's most explosive offensive threats, Jordan Poole couldn't be stopped in his last outing.
In a win over the Spurs in his last game, Poole posted 36 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and a block in just 29 minutes of play. He was a scorching 65% from the field and 50% from the three-point range.
The Phoenix Suns employ the leagues top scoring defence, allowing teams to average just 106.1 points per game on 45.2% shooting from the field. For Golden State to overcome their inconsistency on the road, Poole needs to remain a threat on offence.
The Phoenix Suns are coming off of a game where they lost to the Miami Heat. While Miami aren't the strongest offensive team, Phoenix were unable to limit the Heat's scoring from three-point range.
In their loss to the Heat, the Suns allowed their opponents to convert on 45.5% of their three-point attempts. They allowed 15 three-point field goals, nine of those coming in the first half on 50% shooting.
Without doubt, the Warriors are one of the most intimidating three-point shooting teams in the NBA. They score 16.7 threes per game in victories, causing concern for the Suns' 25th-ranked three-point defence. Controlling the Warriors on the perimeter will be crucial to Phoenix's chances at victory.
With Chris Paul out due to injury, Devin Booker ran the show for the Phoenix Suns in their last game against the Heat. While Booker put up a good line, he'll surely want to bounce back from the disappointment of having his game-winning shot blocked.
In his loss to the Miami Heat, Booker posted 25 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals in 41 minutes of play. He shot just 2 of 7 from three-point range, but 50% from the field overall.
Booker's offensive efficiency tends to define a Suns victory. He averages 27.1 points per game on 50.3% shooting in victories, versus 25.6 points on 43.6% shooting in losses. If the Suns want to beat the Warriors, Booker will need to drive their offence to keep up with their sharpshooting opponents.
