This should be an exciting NFL Week 10 NFC West showdown between the Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams, two teams trying to save their playoff chances with a win here, both sets of players underperforming given the level of talent that is on the field, this divisional matchup their second of the season after a Week 3 win by the Rams by a score of 20-12.

Something is up with the Los Angeles Rams offense, right now ranked 31st in the league in production and 29th in scoring, no doubt due to the tough season QB Matthew Stafford has been having now with as many interceptions (8) and touchdown passes (8) after having been sacked 28 times – third most in the league this year – odd output from last year’s NFL Champions.

Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray is dangerous when he scrambles averaging 6.1 yards per carry this season, but he must figure out how to take better care of the ball, now tied for the second most fumbles (8) plus he has thrown six interceptions to date, all momentum killers that could explain why he and HC Kliff Kingsbury have been even more at odds lately.

The oddsmakers see this game as a potentially low-scoring affair and predict the combined score to be 43, and because six of Arizona’s last seven road games have gone under the total points line plus given how low teams have been scoring so far during the 2022 season, we like the under here, though it is smart to do some basic research first to see how each of these teams have been scoring.

This year, the Cardinals' Kyler Murray-led offense has averaged 22.6 points per game, and the Matthew Stafford-led Rams have put up an average of 16.4 points per game, that total of 39 still under what this bet allows, plus Arizona’s defense allows 26.8 points per game and the Rams allow 21.6, that total of 48.4 a good deal over this wager so keep that in mind when making this bet.

What Cards QB Murray and his front line are no doubt focusing on is how to stop the LA Rams defensive line from penetrating and taking him down, especially playmaking DT Aaron Donald who has posted four sacks in the last six games, five sacks total, with 8 QB hits and 35 tackles with 8 of those for a loss, a force that Cardinals OTs D.J. Humphries and Kelvin Beachum must neutralize.

Los Angeles has covered the spread in 11 of their last 12 games against Arizona which is why we picked them to do that again in Week 10, but the money line bet requires them to win this game outright, something the Los Angeles Rams can certainly do here if their offense can get right, a job for WR Cooper Kupp, QB Stafford’s favorite, a reliable receiving target.

A fun matchup to watch for will be between Arizona’s veteran WR DeAndre Hopkins who will most likely be covered by Rams star CB Jalen Ramsey, their first encounter this season since Hopkins was not on the field when these two teams played in Week 3, and now in 3 games, he has caught 26 passes for almost 300 yards and 2 TDs while Ramsey has a pick and 9 passes defended.

Five of Arizona’s players are listed as questionable to play whereas the entire Rams' active roster seem set to go, so fans who believe the Cardinals will break out and win outright bet $100 on the money line and win $143 plus your bet, while Rams fans who have faith that their champs are still winners can bet $170 on the money line and win $100 plus your original wager.
