Top Alabama Crimson Tide Now Playing In Nfl
  • According to ESPN, there are 71 former Alabama Crimson Tide now playing in the NFL.
  • Since the NFL began holding drafts in 1936, the University of Alabama has had 365 total players selected.
  • 64 of those Alabama players have been taken in the first round, plus there were two overall number one picks.
  • During the 2020 NFL Draft, a total of 9 Crimson Tide were chosen, 4 of those in the first round.

Though the Alabama Crimson Tide was not selected to go the College Football Playoffs in 2019, the talented Citrus Bowl winners still produced a number of NFL worthy players, the main one being quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who, despite a history of injuries, was snapped up quickly in the first round by the hapless Miami Dolphins.

The SEC is known for breeding winners, and the NFL has dipped into Alabama’s talent pool for as long as it has been available to them, with 365 Crimson Tide alumni finding their way to the big leagues since the draft began almost a century ago.

Here we take a look at some of the top Alabama Crimson Tide now playing in the NFL, along with the predictions and odds of how they will do during the 2020 season.

Good luck.

Predictions and Odds of Top Crimson Tide Turned NFL Playmakers

Alabama has produced plenty of high-level NFL worthy athletes who play on the defensive side of the ball, but unfortunately, there are not a lot of “defensive” wagers offered by the various oddsmakers.

Football gamblers will be happy to see, however, that there are plenty of futures available for betting on the offensive players, and here we go over a few of the top ones.

Keep in mind the odds in these wagers will shift plenty of times before the actual games are played, so be sure to check back here often to get all the latest numbers.

Pick:

Count on these Alabama play makers to stay healthy and cover their overs in 2020.

Julio Jones, Wide Receiver, Atlanta Falcons

Jones, a 7x Pro Bowl receiver and 2x NFL receiving yards leader, is expected to have another breakout season with his quarterback, Matt Ryan, now if only that could translate to the Falcons seeing the postseason once again.

Derrick Henry, Running Back, Tennessee Titans

Last season’s rushing yards leader Derrick Henry will play in his fifth NFL season, the Pro Bowl running back and his 5.1 yards per carry were the main reason the Titans went so deep into the playoffs in 2019.

Tua Tagovailoa, Quarterback, Miami Dolphins

All the experts say Tua Tagovailoa is healthy now, and Miami Dolphins are ecstatic to have one of the top quarterbacks to come out of the 2020 NFL Draft, and anyone who watched the talented Tua take his team to the 2018 College Football Playoffs final game understands why.

Amari Cooper, Wide Receiver, Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys just extended Amari Cooper’s contract for five years, the deal worth $100 million with $60 million of that guaranteed, so expect a happy Cooper to have another 1,100+ yard season, the kind of output that that kind of big-time money should be buying.

Mark Ingram, Running Back, Baltimore Ravens

Back for his second season as a Raven, Ingram was one of the main reasons Baltimore was so dominant on the ground last year (besides QB Lamar Jackson, of course), but the oddsmakers are keeping his predictions low since in 2020 he will be sharing snaps with rookie standout J.K Dobbins along with Gus Edwards and Jackson out of the backfield.
