Our first bet of the day is the riskiest one. It involves Carolina Hurricanes right winger Teuvo Teravainen. Teravainen is a 28-year-old veteran in his seventh season on the Hurricanes. He is coming off a 65-point season last year, but his production this season has been slower. Teravainen only has six goals this season, but he is still shooting quite a bit. He will have three or more shots this game. Bet on the over.
Teravienen has missed some time with injury this season and has played in 43 games. He is averaging 2.26 goals per game this year. That number may concern you, but I will explain why you should bet on the over. Teravainen has not been shy about shooting the puck lately. He shot five times in his previous game against the Washington Capitals and shot three times each in his two games before that. If that is not convincing enough, I will add this. Teravainen will be facing a Montreal Canadiens squad that struggles on defense and gives up 33.6 shots per game.
Teravainen has been shooting the puck an awful lot as of late, and this game will be no different. Bet on the over.

Nick Suzuki has been one of the few bright spots on this rebuilding Canadiens squad. The center from London, Ontario, leads the Canadiens with 42 points and also has 17 goals (second-most on the team). I expect his team to lose this game, but he will get at least one point in the process. Bet on the over.
Suzuki is averaging nearly 0.8 points per game and went without a point in his previous matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks. However, he has one point in each of his last two games before that. Suzuki has not gone more than one game without a point since late January, and I do not expect it to happen now. He will find a way to score or get an assist. Bet on the over.
This bet is the safest one of the day. Marc Stall is a defenseman and not having a great season. He has taken 35 shots this year but is yet to score a goal. The man from Thunder Bay, Ontario, is 36 years old and not the player he once was, so I would not bet on him to have two or more blocked shots this game. Bet on the under.
Stall has 11 blocked shots in his previous four games, but this matchup will be different. The veteran is taking on a Washington Capitals team that averages 31.6 shots per game but will be without Alex Ovechkin. Ovechkin averages over four shots a game, so his absence will limit the Capitals’ shot output. If the Capitals take fewer shots, Stall will have fewer opportunities to block shots. I do not expect him to see enough time on the ice and see enough Capitals shots. He will have one blocked shot, but that will be it. Bet on the under.
