The Toronto Maple Leafs are taking on one of the worst defenses in the league, the Ottawa Senators. The Senators are ranked 28th in the league in goals allowed per game (3.5).
The Maple Leafs' offense ranks 10th in goals per game (3.42), thanks to many established players. One of those players is center Auston Matthews, who is one of the top players in the league. Matthews has accounted for team-high points (18) and team-high goals (13) in 12 games played.
He is averaging more than one point per game this season, which should make his ability to contribute in multiple ways highly likely against the bad defense of the Senators.

This Wednesday's matchup between the Washington Capitals and the Florida Panthers is set to be a tough defense of the game due to the inefficient offenses from both teams. The Panthers are ranked 23rd in the league in goals per game (2.82), while the Capitals are ranked 31st (second to last) in goals per game (1.90).
With the Panther's offense having some vulnerability in terms of efficiency and facing a good defense in Washington, they will look to provide as much support as possible to set up goals and shot opportunities. Forward Matthew Tkachuk leads the Panthers in assists accounted for (8).
Tkachuk will look to be a player that the Panthers roll rely on the most to help set up solid scoring opportunities against capitals goalie Darcy Kemper.

The biggest game of the night is for the huge Pacific Divisional matchup between the Los Angeles Kings and the Vegas Golden Knights. The Kings and the Golden Knights are among the NHL's top offenses and defenses in the league. They are some of the most complete teams in the NHL through this early portion of the season.
The Kings are ranked second in the league in goals per game (4.27), which will force the Golden Knights, who have the sixth-scoring offense (3.77), to assert more pressure in setting up shot situations. They will look to rely on several star players, including center Jack Eichel, to get the offense in position for four potential scores.
Eichel has accounted for 14 points this season, only behind William Karlsson (15) for most on the team. Both Eichel and Karlsson possess great command of the Golden Knights’ offense. Look for Eichel to make an impact in multiple ways.
