We have an action-packed episode for you today! Tons of news in the world of sports including a retirement announcement (Don’t worry – Jon and Bill are staying put!)!

Bill Krackomberger and Jon Orlando discuss Rob Gronkowski’s retirement announcement… as the tight end stated he’s done with football for the second time.

They also discuss what a boxing match could look like between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. The two are reportedly in talks for a bout, but do people really want to see this matchup?

Now that the LIV Tour is starting to settle in (not only on the course, but on people’s minds), Bill and Jon take a look at the impact it’s had on the PGA Tour so far. They also look at a few of the results, including Phil Mickelson’s +11 showing. Uh-oh Lefty!

Joining the 101st episode of the show is poker pro Jeff Madsen. Madsen is a four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and the 2006 World Series of Poker Player of the Year (not the first time we’ve had WSOP pros on the show!).

Rob Gronkowski Retires From the NFL… For a Second Time

Stop me if you have heard this before but Rob Gronkowski has decided to retire… again.

The four-time All-Pro tight end announced his retirement via instagram and said he’s going back to “chilling out.”

He also was gracious of his time in the NFL and said, “I want to thank the whole entire first class Buccaneers organization for an amazing ride, trusting me to come back to play and help build a championship team. I will now be going back into my retirement home, walking away from football again with my head held high knowing I gave it everything I had, good or bad, every time I stepped out on the field. The friendships and relationships I have made will last forever, and I appreciate every single one of my teammates and coaches for giving everything they had as well.”

Gronkowski first retired in 2019 after playing nine seasons with the New England Patriots but decided to return in 2020 when Tom Brady went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“He makes a lot of money off the field. I’m sure he has a good head on his shoulders. I think he’s done,” said Bill.

“If he does come out of retirement again, I think Brady’s the only guy that’s going to make that happen,” said Jon.

Gronkowski ends his career with 621 receptions for 9,286 yards and 92 touchdowns in the regular season.

Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul. Will it Actually Happen!?

Mike Tyson is no stranger to anyone in the sport of boxing and Jake Paul is, well, no stranger at grabbing headlines in the same aforementioned sport.

However, Tyson thinks Paul is doing great things for the sport with his improved skill set and thinks a possible fight between the two could happen. Tyson was recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live and was asked about a potential matchup between himself and Paul. “That could be very interesting,” Tyson said. “I never really took it serious, but yeah, that could be really interesting. He’s skilled enough, yes. I’m going to give it to him. He’s skilled enough because he’s winning. Even if he’s fighting guys that you don’t believe are good enough fighters, they should be able to beat him but they can’t. He’s beating people that he really should not be beating. He is doing good for a guy that is just doing it and he is doing so much good for boxing.”

So when’s the mega fight?

“Anything is possible, yes, but it has got to happen this year. It has got to happen this year.”

“I think this might be the biggest fight of all time,” said Jon. “But I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
