Claiming this DraftKings promo is easy. Just follow these steps:
This bonus gives new DraftKings customers a deposit match bonus of 20% of their initial deposit of at least $5. That means if you deposit $25 into your account, you'll receive $5 in bonus bets into your account.
The bonus bet amount will be added to your account immediately and will be ready to use. Be sure you use any bonus bets within the first 90 days of signing up, as they will need to be played with before they can be withdrawn. That shouldn’t be a problem with so many great Big 12 Championship games and March Madness right around the corner.
The Big 12 Championship promises to be one of the most exciting in NCAAB as they have six teams that have been in the AP Top 25 rankings most of the season. That means over half the conference's teams have likely secured an NCAA tournament bid and won’t need the automatic qualifier. Top seeding for March Madness will be on the line, so expect these teams to battle hard all week.
While the Kansas Jayhawks (+350 at DraftKings Sportsbook) enter as the top seed, the second-seeded Texas Longhorns (+310 at DraftKings Sportsbook) enter as the betting favorite. Let's take a quick look at the top contenders, their odds, and how they got here.
Kansas won the Big 12 regular season, despite a 75-59 loss against Texas over the weekend. The loss broke a seven-game win streak with victories over five ranked teams (including Texas). While the win streak was impressive, the Jayhawks are just 6-6 against ranked teams. That record and their final loss are why DraftKings Sportsbook has them below the Longhorns. Kansas will play Thursday at 3 PM EST against the winner of West Virginia vs Texas Tech.
Speaking of the Longhorns, they enter are the DraftKings betting favorite despite losing two of their last three games. We are a bit wary of the Longhorns, even after a statement win against the Jayhawks. They've been one of the best teams in the country at home, but it's been a different story on the road. They've lost four of their last five road games, including an embarrassing loss to Texas Tech. The Big 12 Championship is at a neutral site, so it will give us a good idea of which version of this Longhorn team we can expect in the NCAA tournament. Texas will play the winner of Oklahoma State vs Oklahoma on ESPN College Basketball Thursday at 7 PM EST.
The Baylor Bears (+450 at DraftKings Sportsbook) enter with the third-best odds despite finishing fourth. They've been in the CBB rankings most of the season but have lost three of their last five games. That includes a blowout loss at home against Iowa State over the weekend. It was their second loss to the Cyclones this season, dropping them to the third seed for the Big 12 Championship. That means Baylor will have to again face Iowa State on ESPN College Basketball Thursday at 12:30 PM EST.
Kansas State (+650 at DraftKings Sportsbook) finished third in the Big 12 this season thanks to big wins over Iowa State and Baylor down the stretch. The Wildcats looked like one of the best teams in the country after back-to-back road wins at Texas and Baylor to start 2023, but they are just 1-6 on the road since. They'll be up against TCU on ESPN College Basketball Thursday at 9:30 PM EST.
Next are the Iowa State Cyclones (+650 at DraftKings Sportsbook), who lead the Big 12 by allowing just 62.2 points to opponents this season. Their offense has been a different story, as their scoring struggles have caused them to lose seven of their final ten games. The streak caused them to drop out of the rankings, making the Big 12 Championship critical for their NCAA tournament bid. They'll take on the Baylor Bears on ESPN College Basketball Thursday at 12:30 PM EST.
The TCU Frogs (+850 at DraftKings Sportsbook) enter as the sixth seed, but they should have their ticket punched for March Madness. The Frogs went 5-6 against ranked opponents this season but added a huge win over Texas last week. We love them as a longshot because they are one of the most balanced teams in the Big 12. They rank in the top four in the conference in field goal percentage, opponent scoring, rebounding, blocks, steals, and point differential. TCU will face a Kansas State team that they lost to 21 last month but beat by 14 January. The Frogs will meet the Wildcats on ESPN College Basketball Thursday at 9:30 PM EST.

I am a huge sports fan; locally, many know me as the guy who does the PA for our high school football team on Friday nights. Having grown up in Michigan, I am a sports fan of all the Detroit teams, and at the college level, I love Michigan State sports.
