Anyone interested in betting on NBA games for the first time is in luck because DraftKings Sportsbook is offering a three-part welcome bonus to all first-time customers who sign up using a DraftKings promo code ahead of Thursday’s NBA games on TNT.
Games include battles between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies and the New York Knicks and the Sacramento Kings.
There are only five steps separating you from redeeming the DraftKings promo code for up to $1,200 in bonuses via a three-part welcome offer. Each part of the offer has a different prize pool and way to win.
Complete each of these steps to unlock the offer in full:
A pre-game moneyline is just a moneyline, or pick of the game-winner straight-up, before the game starts. That is the final step necessary to complete the $1,200 offer, although customers will have already unlocked bonuses before that point in time.
DraftKings’ welcome offer is one of the most unique and feeds into its reputation as a leader and innovator in American sports betting. Keep a careful eye on their list of offerings for regular customers during the upcoming NBA schedule, especially once the playoffs roll around.
Users who enjoy both collegiate and professional basketball can also check out betting odds for conference tournaments, and soon enough, March Madness, which will come with endless betting odds.
Customers must be 21 or older, in a state where the DraftKings promo code is active, and may not have a DraftKings account to redeem the $1,200 welcome bonus.
The DraftKings welcome, as we mentioned earlier, is a three-parter: The first part is a $50 bonus bet that is accredited as soon as the account has been created, no questions asked.
The second part of the deal relates to the first deposit in an account’s history. DraftKings will add an extra 20% in the form of bonus bets to the deposit up to $1,000, meaning that all customers will start with over 1.2x as much betting power as the money they deposited.
The third part of the deal is where te pre-game money line comes into play. If that bet hits, users who wager at least $5 will win $150 in bonus bets in addition to the full cash prize. That brings the total value of the offer to $1,200 in bonuses.
The TNT NBA Thursday schedule opens up with the Warriors paying a visit to the Grizzlies in Memphis. These two foes matched up in the playoffs last year, and although Draymond Green was the butt of the jokes for dancing to “Whoop That Trick” (a song played at the Grizzlies’ arena during wins), the Warriors got the last laugh and won the series.
Neither team is in as strong of a position as they were when they met in the playoffs last season. The Warriors have the fourth-worst road record in the NBA, one that is only better than three teams that are busy tanking for the first-overall pick in the NBA Draft, while the Grizzlies are without Brandon Clarke and Stephen Adams, and potentially Ja Morant.
There are lots of interesting plays in this game. The Warriors’ struggles on the road aside, they could really do with a win here to gather momentum before the playoffs hit. Watch for the Golden State moneyline and the over on Steph Curry’s point total to cash.
The second game features the Knicks and Kings, two teams that are used to flying under the national radar but are playing very solid basketball. Sacramento has a chance to steal the second seed in the Western Conference from the Grizzlies before it’s all said and done, while the Knicks are just fingertips away from taking the fourth seed from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Both teams are very efficient on offense, especially Sacramento. No team in the NBA scores more than the Kings, thanks to their diversity of offensive specialists and rapid pace of play.
The most obvious bet for this game is the over since both teams love to push the ball and get shots up. The line will reflect these tendencies, but even still, it’s a safer bet to go with the over than the under.
