Furman accomplished one of the biggest upsets in March Madness history when they took down 4-seed Virginia in the NCAA Tournament first round. Converting on 10.0 threes on 35.7% efficiency, Furman was able to rally back from a 12-point deficit to find victory. To stay competitive against a hard-nosed defensive team like San Diego State, Furman needs to be locked in from range from tip-off.
While the San Diego State Aztecs’ opening game against Charleston was closer than desired, they still came out as the winner in a defensive battle - their strong suit. The Aztecs entered the opening round in form, allowing Charleston to shoot just 32.1% from the field and 20.8% from the three-point range. Ranking amongst the best in the nation in three-point defense and overall defense, their offensive output will make or break their matchup with Furman.

Tennessee earned the victory to progress to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, but it wasn't without its obstacles. Despite shooting 45.7% from the field, the Volunteers went from an 11-point lead at halftime to losing the second half 36 to 28. Tennessee doesn't have the offensive output to allow a second-half collapse against the Blue Devils, so they must return to form as one of the nation's best defensive teams for 40 minutes.
Duke cruised to victory in their opening-round game against Oral Roberts. After dominating the first half, Duke sealed the deal by shooting 48.4% from the field and 37.5% from three-point range en route to their 74-51 victory. The quality of their offense will be tested against one of the country's most formidable defenses. Still, if they can get their game plan on track early, the Volunteers don't project to have the firepower to match them.

Princeton shocked the world in their NCAA Tournament first-round matchup by defeating 2-seed Arizona, earning just the 11th win over the 2-seed by a 15-seed. While Princeton wasn't playing well offensively, their defense held Arizona scoreless for the final 4:45 en route to their victory. After shooting just 16.0% from three on four made three-point attempts against Arizona, Princeton will have to be more efficient from the field to earn another upset.
If they want to go to the Sweet Sixteen, Missouri must maintain their offensive quality against Princeton. Missouri may have gotten off to a slow start in their Round of 64 game, but they pulled away due to their solid three-point shooting. Converting on 50.9% of their shots from the field and 40.0% from three on 10.0 made three-pointers, Missouri's offense helped push them to the second Round.
