Fanatics Entering Connecticut After Partnering With State Lottery

Fanatics Sportsbook’s expansion across the US took another step when they announced a new partnership with the Connecticut State Corporation (CLC). Fanatics will be the CLC’s new sports betting partner, allowing them to offer online and retail betting in the Constitution State.

The new partnership gives the CLC a new sports betting partner. Rush Street Interactive’s PlaySugarhouse was their partner but had let the CLC know they were looking to exit the market. They agreed to wait until a new operator was found to take over, which is now Fanatics.

“Fanatics is the only true sports brand in the gaming space and has established itself as an innovator in the industry,” CLC President & CEO Greg Smith said of the deal. “We have been impressed with the Fanatics team and their aggressive entry into the US sports betting market, and we are excited to see how they redefine the sports betting customer experience here in Connecticut. CLC anticipates notable market share growth as a result of this partnership.”

While the details around the new partnership are still murky, we know the CLC is targeting Fanatics Sportsbook to replace PlaySugarhouse mid-December.

Fanatics will become the third sportsbook in the market, joining FanDuel and DraftKings, who hold the other two licenses available in Connecticut

Connecticut Becomes Eighth State for Fanatics Sportsbook

Fanatics Sportsbook has been quickly expanding since launching earlier this year and will now be in eight states. The Fanatics branded sportsbook is currently available in Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia

While the Fanatics Sportsbooks can only be found in eight states, the operator also owns the US business for PointsBet Sportsbook, which is live in 14 states.

While Fanatics' welcome bonus for Connecticut is unknown, it offers new customers in other states up to $200 in bonus bets when they bet at least $10.
