Detroit takes on Minnesota in an NL Central matchup. The Tigers are 38-47 in fourth place in the division. The Twins are 48-37 in second place, trailing the Guardians by six games.
Detroit is going with Kenta Maeda who has struggled in 2024. He is 2-4 with a 5.76 ERA and a WHIP of 1.42. He has struck out 45 batters in 59.1 innings. In his last three starts, he has gone 15 innings, allowing nine runs on 19 hits.
Minnesota is starting Bailey Ober, who is 7-4 with a 4.30 ERA. He has fanned 92 batters in 88 innings and has a WHIP of 1.09. In his last three starts, he has thrown 21.1 innings, allowing just four runs while striking out 27 batters.
Minnesota is hitting .249 this season, led by Carlos Correa, who is hitting .310 with ten home runs.
Look for the Twins to jump to an early lead and coast to a victory against Maeda and the Tigers.

The last-place White Sox take on the first-place Guardians in the AL Central. Chicago is 24-63, trailing the Guardians by 31 games in the division. Cleveland has a six-game lead over Minnesota.
Chicago is starting Drew Thorpe, who is 2-1 with a 4.43 ERA. He has thrown 20.1 innings on the year and has recorded 13 strikeouts. He has walked ten batters in his last three starts and has a WHIP of 1.23.
Cleveland is going with Ben Lively, who is 7-4 with a 3.03 ERA. He has 61 strikeouts in 71.1 innings and is coming off a six-inning performance against Kansas City.
These teams have witnessed very different seasons in 2024. The Guardians are looking to run away with the division, and the White Sox are the worst team in baseball.
Look for Lively to shut down a struggling White Sox lineup and for Jose Ramirez to contribute at the plate as he leads the team in batting average.
Bet on Guardians ML (-225) at FanDuel
To close out our parlay, we are taking the Diamondbacks' run line against the Dodgers. Arizona is 41-44, trailing the Dodgers by 11.5 games in the NL West. Los Angeles is 53-33 and is +300 to win the World Series on FanDuel sportsbook.
The Diamondbacks are going with Zac Gallen, who is 6-4 with a 2.83 ERA. He has 67 strikeouts in 63.2 innings in 2024. Gallen has a 1.07 WHIP and allowed no runs on one hit in his last start against Oakland.
Landon Knack toes the rubber for the Dodgers, who has recorded 25 strikeouts in 30.1 innings. He is 1-1 with a 2.08 ERA and a WHIP of 0.96. The 26 year old will make his seventh start of the year in this matchup.
Gallen has been one of the best pitchers in baseball for the past few years. Facing a team like the Dodgers is challenging, but Gallen has the ability to dominate this matchup.
