Best MLB Parlay Picks Today: Dodgers are Home Underdogs

The Los Angeles Dodgers are home underdogs against the New York Yankees on Friday night. I’m backing Los Angeles as one of the three legs for my MLB parlay.

Rockies vs. Mets (7:10 PM, EST)

The Colorado Rockies are pacing to be one of the worst teams in MLB history. They have won nine games, and just three on the road this season. 

The New York Mets are coming off a loss to the White Sox, but they should be ready to pounce against an inferior Rockies club at home. Colorado is horrendous in nearly every phase of the game, and they already fired their former manager, Bud Black, after a third of the season. 

Kyle Freeland will pitch for the Rockies and he is 0-7 with a 5.86 ERA with a 1.68 WHIP. He has allowed 80 hits in 55.1 innings, with just 44 strikeouts. 

Freeland has done a nice job not letting batters elevate the ball. Yet, the Mets should still get their licks in on the pitcher. 

New York has scored 76 more runs than Colorado. The Mets don’t have an elite offense, but their pitching staff is one of the best in the league. 

The Mets have a 2.87 team ERA, so I don’t expect many runs from Colorado on Friday or over the course of the series.

Pirates vs. Padres (9:40 PM, EST)

The Pittsburgh Pirates have fired their manager this season, just like the Colorado Rockies. The Pirates are in shambles and the team has struggled to put runs on the board. 

Paul Skenes isn’t on the mound, and when this is the case, I typically fade the Pirates. Mitch Keller is 1-6 with a 3.66 ERA and a 1.3 WHIP. 

He has allowed 66 hits in 64 innings with 55 strikeouts this season. He has surrendered just four home runs, which is his best quality, but the Padres lineup is stacked. 

San Diego is batting .253 as a team and they have scored 50 more runs than Pittsburgh in 2025. Nick Pivetta will throw for the Padres, and he is 5-2 with a 2.72 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP. 

The pitcher has an occasional walk issue, but he is fantastic at home. Pivetta still hasn’t lost at home in 2025, and I expect him to continue this streak on Friday.

Yankees vs. Dodgers (10:10 PM, EST)

There are very few times over 162 games where the Dodgers are home underdogs. The underdog status is warranted with the pitching matchup, but Los Angeles is the better team. 

Max Fried will take the ball for the Yankees. It will be tough for Los Angeles to dominate Fried, but they should be able to put up enough runs to be in a position to win. 

Tony Gonsolin needs to tame the Yankees, but if he can limit damage from Aaron Judge, they have a chance to win.
