On Monday, our MLB prop bets were focused on West Coast teams. But on Tuesday, we’ve shifted our focus to the Midwest. We see a pitcher’s duel brewing between the Brewers and Royals while hitters have a chance to shine in some of the other games taking place in the Midwest on Tuesday night. We’ve trusted today’s odds to DraftKings Sportsbook, which is offering $200 in free bets for new users after they place an initial bet of just $5.

Green led off Monday's game with a home run, giving him two homers in his last three games. He finds himself in a groove with 12 hits in his last nine games and six RBI in his last eight games. While the Tigers don’t have the most explosive offense, they have a favorable matchup on Tuesday against Cleveland’s Logan Allen, who has allowed at least three runs in six of his seven starts. If the Detroit lineup is able to take advantage, Green should be in the middle of everything, which is why we see good value in him getting an RBI.

After the Brewers and Royals combined for just five runs on Monday, we see another pitcher’s duel taking place on Tuesday. Lugo, in particular, has allowed two earned runs or less in six of his seven starts this year. It was surprising to -135 odds for him to replicate that success; we were expecting -160 or shorter. That means there is good value in backing Lugo to succeed against the Brewers. This is a Milwaukee team that’s lost six of its last eight games and been held to three runs or less in five of those games. A pitcher who has performed as well as Lugo this year should be able to handle them.
The Royals are another team that’s fallen into a little bit of a slump in recent days. On Tuesday, they’ll face Rea, who has enjoyed great success in 2024, going 3-0 with a 2.67 ERA. In his six starts, he's only allowed more than five hits once, which is why we're surprised to be getting plus odds for this prop bet. Nevertheless, we’d be foolish not to take advantage of that. Rea is coming off six scoreless innings against the Rays in his last start and has allowed just four hits in consecutive starts. There is an excellent chance he holds the Royals to five hits or less.

Don’t let his .204 batting average fool you; Lindor is starting to come around. He has four extra-base hits in his last five games and two multi-hit games during that span, making him a good candidate to collect multiple bases. Even with Pete Alonso slumping, Lindor still has good protection in New York’s lineup. He also has a favorable matchup on Tuesday, going 5 for 14 (.357) with a pair of doubles in his career against Miles Mikolas. With good momentum and a favorable matchup, we like Lindor’s chances on Tuesday.
Lindor isn’t the only member of the Mets with a good track record against Mikolas. That's why we feel good about fading him a little. With this bet, we just need him to get pulled from the game before he completes six full innings. While he managed to get through six innings in his last start, that’s the only time in his last four starts that Mikolas has reached 18 outs. That includes a start against the Mets in late April when he was pulled in the middle of the sixth inning. He’s not been at his best lately, which is why it’s hard to see Mikolas going deep in this game.
