Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Hit the West Coast for Tuesday’s Props

For whatever reason, all of our MLB prop bets on Tuesday ended up being from teams in the West Division of either league. We didn’t try to do that, it just happened. Either way, we've taken our usual aggressive approach and have once again favored mostly hitters. Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Athletics vs. Astros (8:10 PM, EST)

Brent Rooker Over 0.5 Hits (-170) at DraftKings

The A’s have a tough matchup against Ronel Blanco on Tuesday, but that’s helping to keep Rooker’s odds reasonable. Oakland’s best hitter is batting .303 and has seven multi-hit games in his last 10 games. We could probably be more aggressive with this bet. But against Blanco and considering the lack of protection Rooker has in Oakland’s lineup, we’re just asking for one measly hit. Since the odds are better than -200, there is value in backing Rooker in this game.

Jeremy Pena Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100) at DraftKings

Outside of Rooker, Pena might be the hottest hitter in this game. He’s sixth in the majors with a .338 average thanks to 11 hits in his last six games. While he hasn’t hit for a ton of power, Pena has two extra-base hits during his current six-game hitting streak. Pena is also 4 for 11 with a double in his career against Oakland’s JP Sears. He’s hot enough right now to come up with an extra-base hit in such a favorable matchup. If not, Pena is still a candidate to get multiple hits, which is why we like this bet.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Rockies vs. Padres (9:40 PM, EST)

Dylan Cease Under 3.5 Hits Allowed (+110) at DraftKings

It’s almost ridiculous for a pitcher to have an over/under of 3.5 hits. But that's how good Cease has been this year. The Phillies are the only team that’s gotten to him; he’s dominated everyone else. At Coors Field, Cease allowed just one hit over seven innings against the same Colorado lineup he’ll face on Tuesday. In his eight starts this year, Cease has allowed three hits or less six times. With plus odds, even with a small margin for error, we have to take this bet.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Dodgers vs. Giants (9:45 PM, EST)

Freddie Freeman Over 2.5 Hits/Runs/RBI (+125) at DraftKings

In a small sample size, Freeman has absolutely owned San Francisco starter Keaton Winn. He’s 4 for 5 with a double and a homer against Winn, who owns a 5.63 ERA and has gotten rocked in his last two starts. It seems unlikely that Winn will turn things around against the Dodgers, which likely means a big day for Freeman. Keep in mind that he hits behind Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani, so it’s likely that Freeman will be in RBI positions and could easily pick up multiple hits. He should be able to hit this bet in such a favorable matchup.

Keaton Winn Over 2.5 ER (-115) at DraftKings

Speaking of Winn, we couldn’t possibly ignore how bad he's been in his last two starts; therefore, we just had to fade him. Two starts ago, Winn didn’t even get out of the first inning against the Phillies. Last time out, the Rockies had their way with him, albeit at Coors Field. He’s now allowed at least three earned runs in half of his starts, including a game against the Dodgers in April. The Los Angeles lineup is likely to have its way with Winn, and with more or less even odds for him to give up three runs, we have to take it.
