Best MLB Prop Bets Today 2024 06 28 Red Sox Nick Pivetta

With a full MLB schedule on Friday, we once again have a lot of options for our prop bets. Given the matchups on tap, we’re fully expecting an offensive explosion on Friday. All of our prop picks reflect that, as we’re either favoring hitters or fading pitchers. Naturally, we’re also finding value from the odds we’re getting from Caesars Sportsbook, which is offering $1,000 First Bet with Promo Code WSN1000.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Padres vs. Red Sox (7:10 PM, EST)

Nick Pivetta Over 2.5 ER (-117) at Caesars

Things have gone downhill for Pivetta lately, failing to complete five full innings in three of his last five starts. That means he hasn’t pitched particularly well and has given up a lot of runs. Since pitching seven scoreless innings against the Braves earlier this month, Pivetta has given up at least three runs in three consecutive starts. He also has a questionable history against several Padres, including some players you may not think. Keep in mind the Padres have won seven of their last eight games, scoring at least five runs in all seven of those wins. That trend doesn’t bode well for Pivetta on Friday.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Pirates vs. Braves (7:20 PM, EST)

Ozzie Albies Over 1.5 Total Bases (-117) at Caesars

Martin Perez is returning from the IL Friday to make his first start in a month. That means Albies is facing a lefty, which always gets our attention. In addition to Albies having amazing numbers against lefties this year, he’s also 5 for 6 with a double and two home runs in his career against Perez. That might be a small sample size, but it’s enough to convince us that Albies is going to have a big night, especially since Perez might not be at his best in his return from injury.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Guardians vs. Royals (8:10 PM, EST)

Steven Kwan Over 1.5 Hits (+104) at Caesars

We missed on Kwan earlier this week because he’s cooled down just a little bit. However, he’s always someone we consider backing to get multiple hits when he has a favorable matchup. Kwan has that on Friday with Alec Marsh starting for the Royals. He’s 3 for 4 with a pair of extra-base hits in his career against Marsh. Again, that’s a small sample size, but it’s enough when you factor in Kwan’s .373 batting average. Marsh has also given up a minimum of seven hits in four of his last five starts, which should give Kwan an excellent chance to end up with multiple hits.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today: Dodgers vs. Giants (10:15 PM, EST)

Logan Webb Over 6.5 Hits Allowed (-104) at Caesars

Webb has always been a pitcher who relies on soft contact more than strikeouts. But he's been hit around a lot lately, allowing nine hits in his last start. Webb has now allowed at least seven hits in three of his five starts in June. That makes now a bad time to be facing the Dodgers. Some of the heavy hitters in the Los Angeles lineup have a good track record against Webb. The Dodgers are also building momentum with eight wins in their last 10 games, so this could be a tough matchup for Webb and the Giants.

Freddie Freeman Over 1.5 Total Bases (+118) at Caesars

Freeman is one of the hitters with a strong track record against Webb. Over his career, he’s 14 for 31 (.452) with four extra-base hits. Even if he only gets three at-bats against Webb, there is a decent chance Freeman will get two hits. Freeman is also 5 for 15 with three extra-base hits over his last four games. He’s starting to get in a groove and facing a pitcher he has past success against, making Freeman an obvious target for us on Friday.
