The NRFI value is high throughout the Tuesday slate. The first NRFI we are taking is in the Padres vs. Mariners game. Yu Darvish returns in 2024 and will square off against George Kirby.
The next NRFI we’re betting on is in the Rangers vs. Diamondbacks matchup. Nathan Eovaldi faces Zac Gallen in this game, and we expect them to win.

The first NRFI we are focusing on features Yu Darvish and the Padres against George Kirby and the Mariners. San Diego is 81-64, trailing the Dodgers by six games in the NL West. Seattle comes into this matchup at 73-71 in second place in the AL West.
Darvish is 4-3 with a 3.51 ERA in 2024. He has struck out 57 batters in 59 innings and has a 1.12 WHIP. Darvish missed most of this season but is back healthy and ready to make a strong few starts before the postseason.
George Kirby is 11-10 with an ERA of 3.61. He has excellent strikeout ability, as he has fanned 162 batters in 167 innings. Kirby has a 1.11 WHIP and allowed just two runs in six innings against Oakland in his last start.
The Padres have been excellent on offense this season as they lead the league in team batting average, hitting .265. The Mariners have been the complete opposite regarding team batting average, as they are hitting .219 as a team, which is last in 2024.
Kirby has the experience and strikeout ability to shut down San Diego’s offense. We also trust Darvish to go deep into this game and eliminate Seattle’s offense.

The second NRFI we are taking is in the Rangers vs. Diamondbacks matchup. Texas is 70-74 in third place in the AL West. Arizona is 80-64 trailing the Dodgers by 6.5 games in the NL West.
Nathan Eovaldi gets the ball for Texas, and he is 11-7 with a 3.55 ERA. He has 144 strikeouts in 147 innings to go with a 1.06 WHIP. In his last three starts, he has allowed five earned runs in 20 innings while striking out 21.
Arizona is going with Zac Gallen, who is 11-6 with an ERA of 3.69. He has fanned 126 batters in 127 innings and has a 1.28 WHIP. Gallen didn’t allow a run in his last start in six innings against the Giants.
The Diamondbacks have posted a great offensive season, but with Eovaldi’s ability to get out of big innings via the strikeout, we trust him in this spot. The Diamondbacks are hitting .262 as a team led by Ketel Marte.
The Rangers are hitting .239 as a club in 2024, which ranks 20th in baseball. Corey Seager leads the team, hitting .278 with 30 home runs and 74 RBIs.
With these stud pitchers on the hill, we are confident they will get the job done and keep runs off the scoreboard. We expect both arms to go deep into this game to cash our second NRFI.
