After Thursday’s small slate, we now get a full helping of games to groom through. We target two teams who possess elite offenses with the Cleveland Guardians and Los Angeles Dodgers set to face off against underwhelming pitchers. One of those pitchers include the Washington Nationals Patrick Corbin who has been a routine fade target for our daily YRFI series and now faces off against the Guardians hot bats. For more information about the YRFI market and what factors make them worth a wager, take a look at our breakdown of what are YRFI bets.
As for where to wager on YRFIs, FanDuel sportsbook has been the front runner for the market as they consistently put out lines before everyone else and at very favorable odds when compared to the rest of the mobile sportsbooks. If you have not signed up yet with FanDuel sportsbook and are looking to get in on the action, you can claim $150 in bonus bets by simply signing up and winning your first bet of at least $5 wagered. After a cold stretch of play the past few weeks, the Los Angeles Dodgers have seemingly rounded back into form and are now poised to continue to succeed against the lowly Colorado Rockies. The Dodgers are the sizable favorite to win the World Series, yet their cold stretch has now bumped them down to second overall in the National League. The Philadelphia Phillies currently have a three game lead for first.
Don’t let the cold stretch fool you, the Dodgers are very much in a league of their own. Especially on offense as they rank top-3 across the board in Team Total Hits, RBIs, Runs Scored, and On Base Percentage. Their top of the order rivals the best of them, kicking things off with MVP front runner Mookie Betts, slugger Shohei Ohtani, and elite contact hitter Freddie Freeman.
Every bit of their offensive production will be on display against the Rockies Dakota Hudson who has struggled mightily in his 10 appearances so far this season. Hudson comes into the contest with an ERA of 5.54, a WHIP of 1.589, just 28 Total Strikeouts, 52 Hits Allowed, and 31 Earned Runs Against. His inability to punch opposing batters out will be detrimental against a Dodgers squad that excels at making contact.
As for the Rockies, positive regression actually looms large for the lowly squad as they rank well above league average in Team Total Hits but below average in Total Runs Scored. Their hits are far and few in between, yet now get the chance to build some momentum against the Dodgers' Walker Buehler. Buehler is currently going through regression this season, possessing an ERA of 4.26 and a WHIP of 1.211.

Before our first YRFI of the day gets underway, we get the opportunity to make a wager against our favorite fade target when the Washington Nationals Patrick Corbin takes the mound. An argument can be made that Corbin is one of the worst starting pitchers in the league today as he consistently underwhelms in his starts with opposing offenses having no issue with making contact against him.
To go along with his 79 Total Hits Allowed, Corbin also possesses an ERA of 6.12, a WHIP of 1.691, 36 Total Strikeouts, 23 Batters Walked, and an astonishing 41 Earned Runs Against. His struggles are now poised to continue against a Cleveland Guardians offense that ranks well above league average in Total Runs Scored, RBIs, and On Base Percentage. Their Total Hits dips down to average, but now get the opportunity to correct that mark against Corbin who hangs balls across the plate.
Speaking of struggling, it’s been a rough start to the year for the Washington Nationals offense who currently rank well below average across the board in the previously mentioned offensive metrics. A shocking revelation when the Nationals have been playing well above projections as they are currently near .500 and third in the NL East. They now get the chance to build some momentum against the Guardians Tanner Bibee who comes into the contest with an ERA of 3.99 and a WHIP of 1.227.
