Jalen Brunson, the point guard for the New York Knicks, has been a steady contributor through the early season. While his contribution can sometimes be inconsistent, his effort is always present. Brunson can let loose against an up-tempo squad when he faces the Charlotte Hornets.
Through eight games, Brunson is averaging 22.5 points, 4.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.6 threes per game on 40.4% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range. While the Knicks sit with a 4-4 record and eighth in the Eastern Conference, Brunson’s leadership at point guard has helped them weather the team’s inconsistencies.
Brunson has hit three or more threes in three of his nine appearances - his averages boosted by two incredible shooting performances against the Hawks and the Spurs. Still, against a Hornets team that is 27th in threes allowed per game (14.5), Brunson will have plenty of opportunity to clear 2.5 from deep.
Bruce Brown won his championship with the Denver Nuggets and carried that experience over to the upstart Indiana Pacers. A Swiss army knife-type player, Brown’s contributions come from different areas every night.
Through nine games, Brown is averaging 11.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game on 44.8% from the field and 41.0% from three-point range. Taking on the most prominent role of his career, Brown has helped his Pacers to a strong start through the early season.
On Sunday evening, Brown has a difficult task, as he’ll be asked to contain Tyrese Maxey on the perimeter. He’s finished under 10.5 in five of his nine regular season games, and it’s likely to happen again against the defensive-minded Philadelphia 76ers.

One of the NBA’s most polarizing figures, many forget that behind the bravado is one of the league’s most elite three-and-D threats, Dillon Brooks. Taking on the reigning champions, Dillon Brooks will surely be aggressive with his performance.
While his scoring contributions are down, Dillon Brooks has put up one of his most efficient seasons through the early schedule. Brooks’ efficiency has been a welcome surprise for the young Rockets, averaging 14.1 points per game on 55.6% from the field and 55.6% from three-point range on 1.9 per contest.
The Nuggets are a tough defensive team, but Brooks is the type to rise to the challenge - at least in the effort. Clearing 1.5 threes in four of his eight games this season, Brooks is expected to set the tone for Houston on both ends of the court.
A Player Prop in NBA betting focuses on individual player performance rather than the game outcome. It involves wagering on specific player actions, like points scored or rebounds, with bookmakers setting benchmarks. For instance, a LeBron James prop bet might predict if he'll score over/under 25.5 points in a game. These bets provide an extra layer of excitement, allowing bettors to concentrate on specific players within the broader game context.
