The Chicago Bulls are trying to bounce back from a loss against the Memphis Grizzlies. They’ll have a difficult go of it, as they are facing a defensively adept Miami Heat team.
Having already lost two games to the Miami Heat, the Bulls must improve on their ball security if they hope to win. In two matches against the Heat, the Bulls committed an average of 18.0 turnovers while forcing an average of just 9 themselves.
It won’t be an easy day for Chicago, especially with their best two perimeter defenders unavailable. Being efficient with their scoring opportunities will be central to their success.

After an ejection and a loss in his last game, DeMar DeRozan is certain to bounce back with a good game against the Heat. Coming up against one of the league’s best defences, DeRozan must be efficient.
In 41 minutes of play in his last game, DeRozan posted 31 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and a block. He was 2 of 2 from three, but 10 of 29 from the field overall.
The Heat have gotten the better of the Bulls in their last two meetings. Due to their excellent perimeter defence, DeRozan will need to showcase his playmaking as much as his scoring.
Currently ranked first in the Eastern Conference, the Heat face a Bulls team that are right on their tails in the standings. Miami have won two games since returning from the All-Star Break, but they can’t be complacent against the Bulls.
It’s an offence versus defence matchup when these two teams show up. The Heat are versatile on the defensive end, but the Bulls own the best field goal percentage in the NBA at 48.2% per game.
The Heat must be wary of the Bulls’ offence in this meeting. Shoring up the paint and forcing Chicago to make threes is Miami’s best bet. But the Heat can’t be too relaxed closing out, as Chicago are 2nd in the league in three-point efficiency (37.6%).

Kyle Lowry is the engine that runs the Miami Heat. While players like Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler may score more points, it is Lowry’s playmaking that opens up the entire court for Miami.
In his last game, a win over the Spurs, Lowry posted 13 points and 10 assists on 4 of 8 shooting from the field.
Lowry isn’t a flashy player, but what he does on the court brings his teammates to another level. If he can continue his stellar playmaking, while being rewarded with made shots by his teammates, the Heat should make it 3-0 against the Bulls this season.
