How Can the Warriors Beat the Mavericks?
The Golden State Warriors have bounced back tremendously after last season and now look like true title contenders. They face the Dallas Mavericks, who rely on good shot opportunities and energetic three-point defense.
The Warriors face a Mavericks team that holds their opponents to just 11.3 three-point field goals per game, a place where Golden State must succeed to take a victory.
When the Warriors take on the Mavericks, it will be a match defined by which team can be most efficient with their offense.
Warriors Key Player: (G) Stephen Curry

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry rarely has a bad night, but in his last game against the Miami Heat he was held quieter than we’ve seen in a long time.
In his last game Curry posted just 9 points on 3 of 17 shooting from the field and 1 of 10 shooting from three-point range.
On the other hand, Curry did chip in 10 assists despite his poor shooting night. While his ability to create for others is excellent, the Warriors will still want him to bounce back from his poor scoring night last time out.
How Can the Mavericks Beat the Warriors?
The Dallas Mavericks are currently sitting sixth in the Western Conference. When they face off with the Golden State Warriors, the Mavericks will need to perform higher than expectations.
While the sample size is small, in losses the Golden State Warriors average 17.1 turnovers while shooting just 30.4% from three.
Dallas aren’t the most capable defensive team in the NBA, but they’ll have to step up their game to take down the Golden State Warriors. Dallas have the potential to keep up in the scoring department, but if they can’t pressure the Warriors with their defence it won’t go their way.
Mavericks Key Player: (G) Luka Doncic

It isn’t a secret that Luka Doncic runs and operates the Dallas Mavericks offence. However, when he’s playmaking as much as he’s looking for his own shot, the Mavericks can compete with anybody.
In Doncic’s last game, a win over the Golden State Warriors, he posted 21 points, 15 assists, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals in 33 minutes of play.
Doncic was a team-best plus-25 in his last game, helping his team to six different double-digit scorers. With Porzingis unavailable, the Mavericks will need another night where Doncic gets his teammate’s offense going for them.
