This weekend is going to make a quarter of a season for the South Carolina Gamecocks (1-1) and the #1 Georgia Bulldogs (2-0). They will meet for the 76th time on Saturday as both teams start their SEC Conference play

The last time the Gamecocks got the win over their SEC East Divisional rival was in the 2019 season when South Carolina took down Georgia 20-17 in double overtime. The Gamecocks forced quarterback Jake Fromme to turn the ball over four times with three of them being interceptions.

With the Gamecocks having a loss already going into week three and the Bulldogs being vulnerable, another potential upset could be gearing into action.

South Carolina vs Georgia Preview

CFB South Carolina Gamecocks vs Georgia Bulldogs Predictions

It has been a tough season already for the Gamecocks, who kicked off Week One with a 31-17 loss to the #21 North Carolina Tar Heels. The Gamecocks were dominated at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. The offensive line allowed North Carolina to account for 16 tackles for loss and nine sacks. The Gamecocks' defensive line accounted for one tackle for loss on the Tar Heels.

The Gamecocks will need to play more efficiently at the line of scrimmage against the Bulldogs, who are still incredibly talented on the offensive and defensive line despite the significant loss in starters from last season. Georgia's offensive line allowed one sack and seven tackles for loss in dominating over UT-Martin and Ball State to start the season. The defensive line for the Bulldogs has accounted for a moderate one sack and 10 tackles for loss in the two wins.

Quarterback Spencer Rattler has been the lone source of productivity for the Gamecocks this season. Rattler has completed 55-of-66 of his passes for 698 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions, and a quarterback rating of 187.2. The rushing game for the Gamecocks has been nearly absent as they have rushed for 106 yards and four touchdowns on 70 carries for an average of 1.5 yards per carry.

The Bulldogs are not too eager to replicate the rushing offense as they rushed for 258 yards and six touchdowns on 58 carries. They have relied on the passing abilities of new starting quarterback Carson Beck. This game will be a great chance to develop the rushing offense into a solid rhythm.

South Carolina vs Georgia Picks & Predictions

Prop Bet #1 - Over 13.5 Team Points from South Carolina (+100)

There isn't hope for the Gamecocks to create a big upset on Saturday due to their lack of stability throughout their offense. Rattler is going to find ways to score in the first half against a Bulldogs' defense that hasn't faced a power five yet this season. The Gamecocks are likely to get their second touchdown late in the game in garbage time.

Prop Bet #2 - Over 0.5 Reception Touchdowns from Georgia’s Brock Bowers (-110)

Georgia tight end Brock Bowers continues to be one of the most exciting players in college football. It will not be long until he gets his first touchdown of the season. Last year at South Carolina, Bowers caught five receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns. He could likely replicate those stats.

Prop Bet #3 - Over 5.5 Team Total Touchdowns from Georgia (+105)

The Bulldogs haven't had the chance to unleash their potential on the offensive side of the ball. They have scored at least 45 points in their two games this season. Georgia's offense could have their best offensive performance against a rough South Carolina defense.
