Why Might the UCLA Bruins Win?
The UCLA Bruins might be one of the most explosive teams in the country. While they looked down and out in their last game against Alabama, they roared back to win their Sweet Sixteen matchup.
To say that the Bruins received equal contributions would be an understatement, as six players scored at least ten points of their 88 for a game. When the match went into overtime, UCLA showed their class – outscoring the Crimson Tide 23 to 13.
It might be shallow, but anything is possible for the Bruins if their three-point shot is falling. The Wolverines want to pack the paint and are good defenders, but UCLA have shown the ability to overcome anything through their offence.

Why Might the Michigan Wolverines Win?
The Wolverines are patient, composed, and do their best not to make many mistakes. They’ve cruised through the NCAA Tournament and face a unique test in the UCLA Bruins.
You could say that UCLA plays almost a five-out lineup, something that the Wolverines haven’t seen much of. However, Michigan’s dominance begins in the paint, winning the rebounding battle, and refusing teams extra opportunities.
The Wolverines want to slow the game to their pace, where they can easily take advantage of the Bruins inconsistent defence.
Bruins Key Player: (G) Johnny Juzang

— Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) March 21, 2021
UCLA Bruins guard Johnny Juzang had his worst shooting night of the tournament in his last matchup with Alabama. He’s been a force since the tournament began, but the Bruins will need his scoring in order to take down Michigan.
In his last game, Juzang scored 13 points on five of 18 shooting from the field. He was only one of six from three-point range, owing to Alabama’s defence and ability to disrupt his shot.
Juzang has been willing to attack the basket, but that’ll be difficult against Michigan’s interior defence. Finding good shots and creating for his teammates could key a UCLA victory.
Wolverines Key Player: (G) Franz Wagner
The UCLA Bruins have relies on some hot shooting to overcome the odds and reach the Elite Eight!
The Michigan Wolverines are steady as ever, cruising their way through the tournament.
Sophomore guard Franz Wagner presents a unique matchup for any school in the country. At 6’9 and the ability to score from all ranges, the German can present significant problems for the Bruins.
In his last game against the Florida State Seminoles, Wagner contributed 13 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in 35 minutes of play.
Against UCLA’s smaller guard lineup, Wagner can create serious mismatch problems. If he can maintain his passing efficiency and continue to be effective on the glass, the Bruins may have too much to handle.
