USC have star power and an interior presence in their favor when they face the Ducks. But Dana Altman’s side haven’t been shy using the three-ball to win them games.

The Trojans actually have a game in their favor against the Ducks, having defeated them by 14 in a previous meeting this season. They blew out the Jayhawks in their last game, dispelling many concerns about their scoring rate.
Head coach Andy Enfield’s team was awesome in their blowout victory over the Kansas Jayhawks. Their success was due to their usual paint dominance, and a concentrated effort to contain the Jayhawks on every offensive front.
USC rarely waste their possessions, which will serve them well against the Ducks. While Oregon have the regular season to suggest that their shooting could be a problem, USC’s form makes it seem like they could keep up with anyone.
The Ducks showed their spirit when they closed out a tough Iowa squad in the second round. Their shooting was on point, and they enter their matchup with USC in great form.
The Ducks outpaced the Hawkeyes for the majority of the game, finishing with a 15 point victory. The Ducks hit 11 three-pointers and shot 55.9% from the field for the game. The Hawkeyes put up a good fight, but Oregon’s ability to run down shooters helped them seal the deal.
Oregon want to do whatever they can to disrupt USC’s rhythm inside, but it won’t be a simple task. The Ducks’ offence is more diverse on paper than the Trojans, but current form says their opponents will be more than ready to compete on the scoring front.

While his brother gets most of the spotlight, Isaiah Mobley was very opportunistic in his last game and took advantage of his three-point shots.
Mobley led the Trojans in scoring in their victory over the Jayhawks. He contributed 17 points, eight rebounds, and four assists on 42.9% shooting from the field. While he struggled within the arc, he converted on four of five threes in the game.
Mobley’s perimeter shooting could open up a lot of opportunities for USC. They usually like to work closer to the rim, but Mobley’s newfound willingness to shoot, and subsequent efficiency, could only benefit their interior game.

Duarte starred for the Ducks this season, as the 6’6 guard from Dominican Republic showed off his fearless scoring ability.
In his last game, a win over the Hawkeyes, Duarte was excellent. He scored 23 points but distributed the ball like a pro with a season-high seven dimes on the night. His efficiency from the field, nine of 12 and eight of nine inside the arc, showed how difficult he is to guard.
He’ll have a tougher time scoring at the rim against the USC bigs, but his newfound playmaking may be the perfect way out.
