Bears vs. Lions Predictions
The Lions lost a shootout against a great Bills team last week, but they will bounce back in a big way on Sunday.
Let’s start by talking about the Bears. The team has lost eight consecutive games, including a 20-23 game against the Lions. Things have been especially bad over the last two games, with Chicago losing by a combined 43 points. Those were the first two games since the team fired head coach Matt Eberflus, showing the impact of his absence.
Chicago will be facing a Lions defense hammered hard by injuries, but they won’t have the firepower to take advantage. The Bears’ offense has gained less than 285 yards in two straight games as the offense continues to struggle. Things have gotten especially bad on third down, where the Bears converted just one of their 12 attempts.
The Lions' defense is running on backup power, but the offense remains elite. Jared Goff is coming off his best game of the season, passing for 494 yards and five touchdowns. Detroit was outgunned by the Bills and lost, but they’ll face a far easier challenge this weekend.
Detroit’s Week 15 loss puts their division title hopes in Jeopardy, meaning they will have a lot to play for on Sunday. This is an ultra-competitive team that is eager to bounce back from the high-scoring loss.
Bears vs. Lions My Pick
This is a big line, but the Lions remain a far better team despite their injuries. Given the recent play and overall morale of the Bears, expect this game to get out of hand quickly, leading to an easy cover of the large line.

Bears vs. Lions Best Prop Bets
Jahmyr Gibbs Over 85.5 Rush Yards (-117) at Caesars Sportsbook
The Lions lost David Montgomery to a season-ending injury last week, meaning Gibbs is now the lone top back. The 22-year-old was quiet last week against the Bills, but that was largely due to the Lions needing to throw the ball to keep pace. That won’t be the case this week, and Gibbs will benefit from garbage time yardage as the Lions use him to run the clock.
The Bears' run defense has been an issue all season. The team ranks in the bottom ten of the league in rushing yards allowed per game (133.3) and YPC (4.7). That will lead to the electric Gibbs making some big plays, easily covering this large total.

Sam LaPorta Over 43.5 Receiving Yards (-121) at Caesars Sportsbook
The Lions have relied on Sam LaPorta far more over the last two weeks. He caught 12 of his 17 targets for 165 yards, surpassing this total in both games. His increased usage makes this a fantastic bet.
Chicago’s pass defense is better than they get credit for, but the focus will be on slowing down Detroit’s top two receivers. That will give the tight end room to work, leading to a lot of yards on Sunday.

Lions Over 27.5 Points (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
The Lions will be facing a Chicago defense that has allowed 30+ points in three of their last four games. The one exception in that run came against this Lions team, but things will be different this time around. With the Lions coming in motivated after a loss and the Bears' defense falling apart over the last few weeks, this one of our favorite bets of the weekend.
