Box Nix completed 69.4% of his passes in Week 3
Denver is allowing the third-fewest yards per game in the league
Aaron Rodger has thrown for 457 yards and four touchdowns over the last two weeks
This matchup may not be the most appealing, but it involves two intriguing teams. On one side is a Denver Broncos team with a rookie quarterback coming off his best game of the young season. On the other is a New York Jets team hoping they are finally finding their stride.
We still have much to learn about both teams, but there are still some great bets on the board. Below, we’ll share our favorite bet for the Chargers vs. Steelers game, with odds from Caesars Sportsbook. The following odds for the Broncos vs. Jets matchup are taken from Caesars Sportsbook.
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Denver Broncos | +7.5 (-110) | +285 | Over 38.5 (-110) |
New York Jets | -7.5 (-110) | -365 | Under 38.5 (-110) |
We haven’t seen the Jets offense look like the powerhouse they have the talent to be, and we don’t expect that to change against an underrated Broncos defense. We see two scenarios playing out on Sunday: The Jets blow out the Broncos and their hapless offense, or the Denver defense slows New York down enough to turn the game into a low-scoring slugfest. Either way, the final score will be under the total.

The Broncos are coming off one of the season's most impressive wins. They blew out a good Tampa Bay team on the road, finding success on both sides of the ball. While we aren’t sure the offense will be able to keep their momentum going, we love what we saw from the defense.
The Broncos are allowing the third-fewest yards per game (259.3 YPG) and the sixth-fewest points (46) after three weeks. One big reason for their success is former seventh-round draft pick Jonathan Cooper. The linebacker broke out to post 8.5 sacks last season and already has three in 2024. He is joining 24-year-old Nik Bonitto to give Denver one of the league's most exciting young pass rush units.
On offense, the team will live and die by the play of Bo Nix. The rookie looked bad over the first two weeks but was far better against the Bucs. The quarterback completed 69.4% of his passes for 216 yards, adding another 47 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
While Nix’s improved play is promising for the Broncos' future, don’t expect it to continue this week against a far superior Jets defense. The rookie will look his age on Sunday, leading to another ugly start.

The Jets come into this game having won two straight over bad teams. They held off the Titans before demolishing the Pats and will now host a 1-2 Broncos team at home. New York has far more talent, but questions remain about the team's ability to win together, especially after reports of dysfunction in the locker room.
One reason for Jets fans to hope is Aaron Rodgers, who seems to get better each game. The future Hall of Famer has been fantastic over the last two weeks, completing 69% of his passes for 457 yards and four touchdowns. Those numbers are impressive, especially considering that Rodgers and Garrett Wilson have yet to gel.
The Jets' defense is the key to this game, and we expect an impressive night from the unit. They dismantled the Patriots last week, limiting them to just three points on 139 yards. They were especially great against the pass, limiting Jacoby Brissett to 98 passing yards.
Brissett may be a better quarterback than the young Bo Nix at this point, so we expect the rookie to deliver a similar stat line.
