Vikings vs. Falcons Same Game Parlay Picks for SNF Week 2

As ugly as the Vikings started on Monday Night Football, we came away impressed. The defense returned to dominance, causing Caleb Williams to go from looking like an NFL MVP to a first-round bust in the second half. 

The Atlanta offense looked even better than expected, with Michael Penix Jr once again showing he can be a long-term solution for this beleaguered franchise. However, their top playmakers are all young and mostly unproven. We expect them to gel and finish the season strong, but that youth will hurt them against an aggressive Minnesota defense on the road.

We saw that JJ McCarthy still has to mature as a passer, but the rookie showed up under pressure for this team. He used his arm and legs to lead Minnesota to a comeback win, avoiding a loss to an NFC North rival. 

We also saw Jordan Mason bring a new edge to the backfield, rushing 15 times for 68 yards. He and Aaron Jones will be a force all season, including this Sunday.

The Falcons' Week 1 loss wasn’t all bad, as they saw Michael Penix Jr. establish himself as an NFL quarterback. He completed 64.3% of his passes for 298 yards and a touchdown despite running back Bijan Robinson delivering a dud. Penix has no issues leading this offense, and it seems the Falcons are ready to turn him loose in 2025.

Minnesota’s pass rush is going to prevent the Falcons from winning, but the defense could be without two stars in Andrew Van Ginkel and Harrison Smith. The Falcons, by comparison, are expected to have two offensive stars back from injury, Drake London and Darnell Mooney. They will find room in the Vikings' short-handed secondary this weekend.
