Joe Burrow has thrown for 784 yards and seven touchdowns
The Bengals have allowed 34+ points in three of their last four games
Alex Highsmith is unlikely to play for the Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers will be looking to bounce back this week as they visit the Cincinnati Bengals. The team’s lead in the AFC North is down to half of a game after losing to the Browns last week, making Sunday’s matchup against the Bengals one they need to win. With injuries mounting on defense, can Russell Wilson outduel Joe Burrow in this division matchup?

Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Pittsburgh Steelers | +2.5 (+105) | +135 | Over 47.5 (-110) |
Cincinnati Bengals | -2.5 (-125) | -160 | Under 47.5 (-110) |
There are going to be some impressive fireworks in the AFC North matchup. That is primarily due to the Steelers' defense, which continues to deal with injuries. There was some hope that Alex Highsmith would be able to return this week, but he has yet to return to practice. His absence has led to TJ Watt struggling, taking some of the bite out of this fantastic defense.
The Bengals have been bad this season, but Joe Burrow has been fantastic once again. Over his last two games, the quarterback has thrown for 784 yards and seven touchdowns. The Steelers' defense remains strong, but they are missing enough pieces to make them vulnerable. Burrow is a big game player, and Sunday will be one of the team’s biggest.
The Steelers offense continues to find success with Russell Wilson at quarterback. The team is also working in Justin Fields, giving the offense different looks. That will be a problem for a Bengals that has allowed 34+ points in three of their last four games.
The Steelers may start slow on the road, but they will start running up the score once they settle in. On the other side, expect Joe Burrow to deliver big numbers in a home game that the Bengals must win. We aren’t sure who comes out on top, but this total will be an easy cover.

Russell Wilson has only thrown for one touchdown over his last two games, but that will change tonight. The veteran actually played well in the heavy snow in Week 12, completing 75% of his passes for 290 yards and a TD. He averaged a solid 9.6 yards per attempt, showing that he has settled into this offense.
The Bengals rank in the bottom ten in the league in passing yards allowed per game this season (225.6). That is partly due to their inability to get pressure on opposing quarterbacks, with the third-lowest sack total (19) in the NFL. That will give Wilson plenty of time to work, setting up his best passing game of the season.

Pickens and Wilson have begun to form a strong passing duo. While the receiver only managed to go for 48 yards last week, that was largely due to the extreme weather conditions in Cleveland. He has surpassed this total in the four games before that, and we expect him to do so again on Sunday.

Joe Burrow is doing everything he can to drag the Bengals into the playoffs. He has been electric over his last two games, helping him surpass the 3,000 yard mark just 12 weeks into the season.
One reason for Burrow’s incredible numbers over the last two weeks is the Bengals game plan. He had 50+ pass attempts in both, and we expect him to surpass that total again on Sunday.
