Derrick Lewis | TALE OF THE TAPE | Chris Daukaus |
36 | Age | 32 |
6 ft. 3 in. | Height | 6 ft. 3 in. |
79 in. | Reach | 76 in. |
25-8, 1 no-contest | Record | 12-3 |
Coming off of a loss against Cyril Gane for the interim heavyweight title this past August, former title challenger Derrick Lewis has wasted no time in stepping back into the octagon as he is looking to finish 2021 with a win.
Lewis was riding a four-fight winnings streak that included two finishes before losing to Gane via TKO in the third-round at UFC 265.
Although ranked as the number-three heavyweight in the world, Lewis is taking a chance by agreeing to fight someone ranked outside of the top-5: number-seven ranked Chris Daukaus.
Daukaus last fought even more recently than Lewis – defeating Shamil Abduakhimov at UFC 266. It marked his fifth win in a row.
Derrick Lewis is known for his knock-out power and he will have a three-inch advantage in reach this Saturday. However, it is Daukaus who has the significant grappling advantage, boasting a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. And the oddsmakers seem to recognize this as Daukaus comes in this contest as the betting favorite.

Stephen Thompson | TALE OF THE TAPE | Belal Muhammad |
38 | Age | 33 |
6 ft. | Height | 5 ft. 10 in. |
75 in. | Reach | 72 in. |
16-5-1 | Record | 19-3, 1 no-contest |
Like Derrick Lewis in the main event, Stephen Thompson is hoping to end his calendar year with a win after losing his chance at glory in his last fight.
In what was set as a number-one contender bout for the UFC welterweight title, Stephen Thompson took on Gilbert Burns at UFC 264 and found himself on the losing end of a unanimous decision.
The loss snapped a two-fight winning streak for the former two-time title challenger.
Belal Muhammad is looking forward to the step-up in competition. After a no-contest outcome against Leon Edwards in which Muhammad was poked in the eye and unable to continue, Belal bounced back with a decision win over former title challenger Demian Maia at UFC 263. He aims to defeat his second former title challenger in a row this Saturday.
Known for his unorthodox striking, Stephen Thompson will enter this contest with a three-inch reach advantage. He boasts black belts in jujutsu and American kickboxing and holds a fifth-degree black belt in kenpo karate.
Thompson is listed as a -250 to win.
Amanda Lemos | TALE OF THE TAPE | Angela Hill |
34 | Age | 36 |
5 ft. 4 in. | Height | 5 ft. 3 in. |
65 in. | Reach | 64 in. |
10-1-1 | Record | 13-10 |
Amanda Lemos will enter the octagon Saturday night as the biggest betting favorite on the main card. Why? She is two-years younger than her opponent, will have advantages in both height and reach, and has a significantly better professional record.
Lemos is currently riding a four-fight winning streak that includes back-to-back TKO wins over Montserrat Ruiz and Livia Renats Souza.
Her opponent, Angela Hill, has high muay thai level striking and a 16-0 kickboxing record. But striking alone is not enough in mixed martial arts. She is currently 1-3 over her last four fights and is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Tecia Torres this past August.
Lemos is listed at -385.
Raphael Assuncao | TALE OF THE TAPE | Ricky Simon |
39 | Age | 29 |
5 ft. 5.5 in. | Height | 5 ft. 6 in. |
66.5 in. | Reach | 69 in. |
27-8 | Record | 18-3 |
There is no question about it – Raphael Assuncao has a huge challenge in front of him in Ricky Simon.
Ten-years Simon’s senior, Assuncao hasn’t fought since June 2020 in which he was knocked out by Cody Garbrandt in the second round. The knockout marked Assuncao’s third loss in a row.
Simon, however, finds himself on a three-fight winning streak. His latest win took place this past February – a unanimous decision win over Brain Kelleher. The 29-year-old has a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and is a former LFA bantamweight champion. He will also have a 2.5-inch reach advantage.
Assuncao, a southpaw, holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and still finds himself within the top-15 rankings at number-12.
Simon is a -300 favorite to win this Saturday.

Carlos Diego Ferreira | TALE OF THE TAPE | Mateusz Gamrot |
36 | Age | 31 |
5 ft. 9 in. | Height | 5 ft. 10 in. |
74 in. | Reach | 71 in. |
17-4 | Record | 19-1, 1 no-contest |
Top prospect Mateusz Gamrot will be making just his fourth UFC appearance this Saturday night. After losing his promotional debut (the first and only loss of his career), Gamrot is now on a two-fight winning streak that includes a first-round submission win over Jeremy Stephens this past July.
He has performance bonuses in all three of his UFC appearances.
Carlos Diego Ferriera is currently on a two-fight skid – having most recently lost via TKO to Gregor Gillespie this past May. But this is still a dangerous man, one who boasts a third-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and who is a former LFA lightweight champion. He is ranked as the 12th-best lightweight in the promotion.
Gamrot is currently unranked but he is a former KSW featherweight and lightweight champion and holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He will find himself at a reach disadvantage of three inches, but is still favored to win at -205.
Cub Swanson | TALE OF THE TAPE | Darren Elkins |
38 | Age | 37 |
5 ft. 7 in. | Height | 5 ft. 10 in. |
70 in. | Reach | 71 in. |
27-12 | Record | 26-9 |
Two legends of the UFC, having a combined 11 post-fight bonuses, Cub Swanson and Darren Elkins are sure to put on a fan-friendly, exciting fight.
Both fighters have recently overcome four-fight losing streaks. After four losses in a row, Elkins now finds himself on a two-fight winning streak that most recently saw him defeat Darrick Minner via TKO this past summer.
Swanson snapped his four-fight losing streak by also winning two-straight. However, he was defeated in his most recent bout. He suffered a first-round TKO loss to rising star Giga Chikadze this past May.
Swanson is known for his knock-out power and holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Elkins holds just a brown belt in the same discipline but also boasts NCAA division II wrestling credentials.
Elkins will stand three-inches taller and have a one-inch reach advantage in the fight. However, it is Swanson who is listed as a -220 favorite to win.
