Calvin Kattar | TALE OF THE TAPE | Giga Chikadze |
33 | Age | 33 |
5 ft. 11 in. | Height | 6 ft. |
72 in. | Reach | 74 in. |
22-5 | Record | 14-2 |
Number-five ranked featherweight Calvin Kattar is looking for a big statement win this Saturday in order to erase the memory of his last fight – a lop-sided beatdown at the hands of former featherweight champion Max Holloway.
But Kattar will have his hands full with number-eight ranked Giga Chikadze – a fighter who is currently enjoying a nine-fight winning streak with seven of those wins happening under the UFC banner.
Chikadze most recently fought Edson Barboza last August, whom he beat via TKO in the third round – earning him his third performance bonus in a row.
Prior to his loss to Holloway, Kattar had won back-to-back fights over Jeremy Stephens and Dan Ige.
Chikadze will enter the octagon standing one-inch taller than his opponent and he will also enjoy a two-inch reach advantage. He is a -250 favorite – the largest betting favorite on the main card.
Katlyn Chookagian | TALE OF THE TAPE | Jennifer Maia |
33 | Age | 33 |
5 ft. 9 in. | Height | 5 ft. 4 in. |
68 in. | Reach | 64 in. |
16-4 | Record | 19-7-1 |
Katlyn Chookagian and Jennifer Maia have already met once before. In November 2019 at UFC 244, Chookagian defeated Maia (who missed weight for the fight) via unanimous decision.
Following her win over Maia, Chookagian was granted a title shot again champion Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 247 but was defeated via TKO in the third round. Since that loss, Chookagian has gone 3-1 in the UFC, winning her last two in a row.
Following Maia’s 2019 loss to Chookagian, she went on the defeat Joanne Calderwood and then challenge Shevchenk for the flyweight title. She was defeated via unanimous decision at UFC 255 and has since returned to the win column with a decision victory over Jessica Eye last summer.
A win for tenth-ranked Chookagian could put her in line for a nother shot at the title should she be able to once again defeat Jennifer Maia, who enters the contest as the number-four ranked flyweight in the division.
Chookagian will have a four-inch reach advantage and is a -184 to win.

Brandon Royval | TALE OF THE TAPE | Rogerio Bontorin |
29 | Age | 29 |
5 ft. 9 in. | Height | 5 ft. 5 in. |
68 in. | Reach | 67 in. |
12-6 | Record | 17-3, 1 no-contest |
These two fighters are still relatively green when it comes to UFC experience, but don’t let that fool you – this has fight of the night written all over it.
Brandon Royval signed with the UFC having just won the vacant LFA flyweight championship. He began his UFC tenure with back-to-back wins and back-to-back fight-of-the-night bonuses. However, he has since dropped back-to-back fights: a TKO loss to current champion Brandon Moreno and a submission loss to Alexandre Pantoja.
He is ranked as the fifth-best flyweight in the division.
Rogerio Bontorin also recently found himself on the losing end of two in a row but his last fight, which took place last May, saw him earn a unanimous decision win over Matt Schnell. However, despite having a better record on paper, Bontorin will enter the cage as a +138 underdog.
Royval will enjoy a four-inch advantage in height as well as a one-inch reach advantage.
Jake Collier | TALE OF THE TAPE | Chase Sherman |
33 | Age | 32 |
6 ft. 3 in. | Height | 6 ft. 4 in. |
78.5 in. | Reach | 78 in. |
12-6 | Record | 15-8 |
Since joining the UFC in 2014, Jake Collier has traded wins with losses and has a promotional record of just 4-5.
After a unanimous decision win in 2020 over Gina Villante, Collier fought once in 2021 and was on the losing end of a split-decision to Carlos Felipe at UFC 263.
Chase Sherman will also enter the cage Saturday coming off of a loss – two in a row, in fact. After putting together a three-fight winning streak outside of the UFC and winning his first bout back in the promotion, Sherman has since lost back-to-back fights against Andrei Arlovski and Parker Porter.
Collier will have a half-inch reach advantage while Sherman will stand one inch taller.
It is Collier who is the -132 favorite.
Bill Algeo | TALE OF THE TAPE | Joanderson Brito |
32 | Age | 26 |
6 ft. | Height | 5 ft. 8 in. |
73 in. | Reach | 72 in. |
14-6 | Record | 12-2 |
Bill Algeo debuted for the UFC in August 2020 and, despite losing, put on a fight-of-the-night effort against Ricardo Lamas. Since that loss, he has fought twice more for the promotion, defeating Spike Carlyle but then dropping a unanimous decision to Ricardo Ramos last May.
His opponent, Joanderson Brito, will be making his UFC debut this Saturday. Brito is currently on an 11-fight winning streak with his most recent win coming on the Dana White Contender Series last August.
Algeo will stand significantly taller than his opponent and holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. However, Brito is the younger man and is pegged as a -134 to win.
