FC Slutsk have gotten off to a tremendous start this year after a nervy 2019 campaign. With a recent win over Shakhtyor Soligorsk, FC Slutsk have found their way to the top of the Vysheyshaya Liga table on goal difference.

Belshina Bobruisk got off to a dreadful start to the season and it hasn’t gotten much better. After losing the first three matches of the season, they were only able to manage draws against Neman Grodno and Smolevichi.

They’ll need to stave off a talented attacking side in FC Slutsk. After allowing seven goals in five matches, Belshina will have their work cut out for them.

Nigerian midfielder Mohammed Umar scored what would be the match-winning goal for FC Slutsk in his last match. Despite being down to ten men at the time, the Nigerian was composed off the long ball, dribbled past the defender, and slotted in a classy goal. With, hopefully, a full complement for 90 minutes next match, Umar’s creativity and dribbling may tear through the Belshina backline.
BEL: (FWD) #9 Leonid Kovel
Leonid Kovel puts in his second of the season to tie the match at 1-1 for FC Belshina Bobruisk!#Goal #VysheyshayaLiga #FootballsStayingHome pic.twitter.com/7ddude2phC

The 33-year-old striker is one of the few bright spots for Belshina so far this season. While he hasn’t been clinical, nor has any Belshina player, Kovel has shown composure and maturity on the ball that has helped his side in difficult situations. His goal to tie the match against Neman Grodno showed he has the finishing ability, given some decent service.
