Traders at the major betting apps around the world are offering odds on the outcome of this bout. We have seen a huge surge in the number of wagers placed on big title fights this year and the stats suggest that the bets and values are showing no signs of slowing down. That is, in part, due to the competitiveness of the sport in recent times with the best fighters putting their differences aside and facing each other. There has been a thirst for big fights and it’s no longer just from the fans. Following the break enforced by the coronavirus pandemic, boxers, managers, and promoters all want to get a move on.
Now that online sports betting is becoming legal in a growing number of regions across the United States, with more set to follow, and the relaxation of sports betting rules in Canada, boxing betting has never been so popular. The top betting apps have responded, offering increased coverage of the sport with generous odds and promotions on the title fights shown live on TV. It’s a great time to be a boxing fan and, at long last, you can now use your knowledge of the noble art to target a profit.
Betting is available on Lopez vs Kambosos and there are many exciting markets available. You can keep it simple and pick sides, having your stake money down on the winner of the fight. This is the most popular way to bet on boxing and also the simplest, but the odds are often short unless you are opposing the favorite or taking a chance on the draw.
In the specials, you’ll find the method of victory market where you are challenged with predicting the winning fighter and how they’ll achieve the result – knockout or points win. You can call the exact winning round, a group of rounds such as 7-9, to be knocked down, the fight to end inside 60 seconds, and more. There’s a bet for all types of gamblers.
Above you’ll find the current odds on the fight-winner market. The odds taken from the advertised betting apps are correct at the time of writing, but please keep in mind the market can move, and odds can shorten or go out as we approach fight night.

In the final round of fights from November before we jump into the thick of what will be a hectic December, there’s an exciting card from the world-famous Madison Square Garden in New York. Matchroom Boxing supremo Eddie Hearn presents another card in the United States and it can’t be denied the Englishman knows how to put on a show. Matchroom brings us a program topped by Teofimo Lopez and George Kambosos Jr with WBA, IBF and WBO world lightweight titles on the line.
The main event is supported by a stacked undercard, including a battle for the vacant IBF world super featherweight title and the WBA Continental featherweight strap. This venue has a rich history of staging major title fights in the heavyweight division for casual followers of the noble art to enjoy but on Saturday it’s the turn of the little men to steal the show. You can follow the fights live on DAZN and the millions tuning into the action on both sides of the Atlantic will be treated to a fascinating night of championship boxing.
Who will be the big winners and losers of the night? In this article, we preview the main event as Lopez and Kambosos look to put on a show and finish the year on a high. Victory here and ending the year as the recognized champion of the world at lightweight, setting up some big-money fights in the new year. There’s more on the line here than the win.
Lopez is the hot betting favorite, and it’s easy to see why traders are keen to keep on the right side of him. The New York-born fighter now based in Arkansas brings a stunning professional record detailing 16 wins from as many fights with a dozen knockouts already on his card. He was last seen beating pound-for-pound great Vasyl Lomachenko at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, last year, winning that bout on points. Despite entering as the underdog with Loma priced like losing wasn’t an option, it was Lopez who had his hand raised at the end of the bout, and it was a convincing score.
Kombosos is also an undefeated fighter with a 19-0-0 record, 10 of those wins coming by knockout. The Australian fighting out of Sydney shot to fame with a pair of split decision wins over Mickey Bey at this venue two years ago before going on to cause a major upset when beating former world champion Lee Selby over 12 rounds at Wembley. The Welshman was favorite to win that fight before a British audience, but George got the nod.
Both fighters have the power to hurt each other and win the belts by knockout, but their recent form suggests this one will go to the scorecards. It’s unlikely Kambosos would get the decision in New York unless he was miles clear on the scorecards. Back Lopez to win on points at a decent price.
