Best NRFI Bets Today: Target These NRFI Spots On Thursday
Eight MLB games are on the slate for Thursday, and we have selected two that hold a ton of value for the NRFI. The “No Runs First Inning” wager is one of the best in baseball, and we have identified two.
The first NRFI we are taking is in the Rays vs. Guardians game. Ryan Pepoit squares off against Gavin Williams and we expect them to get the job done.
The second NRFI we are focusing on features Frankie Montas and the Brewers against Hayden Birdsong and the Giants.

Best NRFI Bets Today: Rays vs. Guardians (7:15 PM, EST)
1st Inning Under 0.5 Runs (-120) at bet365
The first NRFI we are focusing on features Ryan Pepoit and the Rays against Gavin Williams and the Guardians. Tampa Bay comes into this matchup at 71-74 in fourth place in the AL East.
Cleveland is having an outstanding season in 2024. They are 84-62, leading the AL Central by four games.
Pepoit is 8-6 with a 3.66 ERA this season. He has fanned 118 batters in 113 innings and has a WHIP of 1.14.
Pepoit is coming off a great start against Baltimore going 5.1 innings allowing just one run on six hits.
The Guardians are going with Gavin Williams who has an ERA of 5.25. He has struck out 64 batters in 60 innings and has a 1.37 WHIP. Williams is coming off a bad start against the Dodgers, but in the two games prior he only allowed three earned runs in 12 innings.
On the offensive side, the Rays are hitting .231 as a team, which is the fourth-worst in baseball. Yandy Diaz leads the team, hitting .280 with 14 home runs and 65 RBIs.
The Guardians have also struggled on offense in 2024. As a team, they are hitting .239, which is the 21st-best in the league.
Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez have provided the majority of the offense for Cleveland. Kwan is hitting .290 with 13 home runs, while Ramirez is hitting .270 with 34 home runs and 106 RBIs.
There are better NRFI spots with these starting pitchers, but the offenses have struggled tremendously so we are taking advantage of this decline.

Best NRFI Bets Today: Brewers vs. Giants (9:45 PM, EST)
1st Inning Under 0.5 Runs (-125) at bet365
The second NRFI we are taking is in the Brewers vs. Giants game. Milwaukee is 83-61 leading the NL Central by 8.5 games. San Francisco comes in at 71-74 in fourth place in the NL West.
Frankie Montas gets the ball for Milwaukee, and he is 6-10 with a 4.69 ERA. Montas is going to have to deliver down the stretch for this Brewers rotation if they want to make noise this postseason. He has fanned 120 batters in 132.1 innings of work.
The Giants are going with Hayden Birdsong who is 3-5 with a 5.19 ERA in 2024. He has struck out 64 batters in 52 innings and has a WHIP of 1.50. In Birdsong’s last start he allowed two runs against Arizona.
For this NRFI to cash both arms are going to have to limit the walks. Birdsong walked five batters in his last start, and Milwaukee will take advantage of that if he is allowing free passes.
Expect limited runs in this matchup as we are confident that both starting pitchers will dominate the offenses.
