The Phoenix Suns' offense aims to take down the Western Conference top seed. Chris Paul will lead the offense as usual, orchestrating his team's offense to peak efficiency. And while Kevin Durant's scoring is usually the focus, he'll be asked to help control the boards against a solid rebounding squad.

Denver will aim to overcome the scoring punch of the Phoenix Suns through the contributions of their role players. Michael Porter Jr. is always a capable shooting threat and will be crucial to their chances. Aaron Gordon is a defensive player, so his efforts against Phoenix's scoring threats are vital.

Kevin Durant's scoring prowess always takes the spotlight, but his ability to contribute on the glass has always been one of his best additional contributions. At Caesars Sportsbook, Durant is a +110 to clear 7.5 rebounds when he faces the Denver Nuggets in Game 1. After finding success against the giant T-Wolves frontcourt, a matchup against the Nuggets is in Durant's favor.

With Devin Booker taking on the scoring load, Durant has contributed in other ways. Since joining the Suns, Durant averaged 26.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game on 57.0% from the field and 53.7% from three. In five games against the LA Clippers in the First Round, Durant averaged 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 6.2 assists on 51.8% from the field and 45.8% from three-point range.

With a step up in competition and a need to compete with the Nuggets on the boards, Durant has proven more than willing to take on the extra burden. Durant has collected eight or more rebounds in 16 of his 47 appearances this regular season. Against the Clippers, Durant cleared 7.5 rebounds in two of his five appearances.

Chris Paul remains one of the NBA's most diligent playmakers. At FanDuel Sportsbook, Paul is a +100 to clear 14.5 points when he faces the Denver Nuggets in Game 1. Paul thrived when facing the Nuggets through the regular season, and he projects to do the same in their Second Round meeting.

Through his 59 regular season games, Paul averaged 13.9 points, 8.9 assists, and 4.3 rebounds on 44.0% from the field and 37.5% from deep. He also averaged 13.6 points, 8.2 assists, and 6.0 rebounds on 41.4% from the field and 34.8% from three-point range through the First Round. Paul closed out his First Round series on a high, hitting six threes through his last two games.

Posting averages of 15.7 points and 10.3 rebounds on 41.5% from the field and 42.1% from three against the Nuggets this season, Paul has performed well against Denver. Paul scored 15 points or more in 31 of his 59 regular season performances. He also cleared 14.5 points in three of his five First Round games against the T-Wolves.

Michael Porter Jr. is a streaky shooter, but when he's on his game, he can turn the momentum in his team's favor with just a few shots. At DraftKings Sportsbook, Porter Jr. is a +100 to fall short of 16.5 points when he faces the Phoenix Suns in Game 1. After a positive showing in the First Round, Porter Jr. will feel the weight of one of the NBA's top defenses.

Through the regular season, Porter Jr. averaged 17.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists on 48.7% from the field and 41.4% from three-point range. In five games against the Timberwolves, Porter Jr. averaged 16.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists on 49.2% from the field and 42.4% from deep on 2.8 made per game. He hit at least two threes in each match through his First Round series.

Porter Jr. fell short of 16.5 points in 26 of his 62 appearances through the regular season. He also failed to clear 16.5 points in three of his five First Round games. Against a tough Phoenix perimeter defense, expect Porter Jr. to struggle in Game 1.

Aaron Gordon Rebounds Over 6.5 (+105) @ PointsBet

Aaron Gordon was a consistent contributor for the Denver Nuggets when they played in their First Round series. Considered the Nuggets' second-best rebounding threat, at least in the starting lineup, Gordon will have plenty of opportunities to contribute. At PointsBet, Gordon is a +105 to clear 6.5 rebounds when he plays the Phoenix Suns in Game 1.

On the season, Gordon averaged 16.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.0 assists on 56.4% from the field and 34.7% from three-point range. Against the Timberwolves in the First Round, Gordon averaged 13.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists on 50.0% from the field and 33.3% from deep. Gordon has struggled with shooting sometimes but tends to find an alternative solution by producing in other areas.

Aaron Gordon cleared 6.5 rebounds in 30 of his 68 regular season appearances. In the First Round, Gordon collected seven or more rebounds in three of his five appearances. Given the matchup of Ayton and Jokic in the paint, Gordon will be crashing the boards to help his side to victory.
