We have a great slate of games this Thanksgiving weekend, including the Arizona Cardinals vs the Minnesota Vikings. The Cards will be looking to stay in the NFC West race, while the Vikings trail the Lions by just one game in the NFC North. One team will be closer to a division championship after this one, setting us up for an exciting game.

Cardinals vs Vikings Predictions and Prop Bets

Cardinals vs. Vikings Predictions

Arizona lost a critical game to the Seahawks last week primarily because of its inability to run the football. The team finished with just 49 rushing yards, 23 of which came from two plays. James Conner managed just eight yards on seven carries as the Cardinals scored just six points.

The biggest concern from the Week 12 loss is that Seattle’s run defense isn’t good. That isn’t a good sign as Arizona prepares to face the Vikings’ top-ranked run defense on Sunday. The Vikings will dominate the battle up front, shutting down the Cardinals’ backfield and keeping Kyler Murray under constant pressure.

The Minnesota offense dominated a good Bears defense last week. Sam Darnold led the effort by passing for 330 yards and two touchdowns, while Aaron Jones averaged 4.8 YPC. The most impressive part of their success was that Justin Jefferson only accounted for 27 yards, showing how deep Minnesota’s offense is. Darnold will have an extra incentive to deliver again this week as the team has signed Daniel Jones.

Arizona’s defense has been better than the numbers show, and they are coming off a strong game against the Seahawks. The unit held the Seahawks to 65 rushing yards on 25 carries (2.6 YPC) but was ultimately undone by Geno Smith and the Seattle pass attack.

Cardinals vs. Vikings - My Pick

This is one of our favorite bets of the weekend. While Arizona is far better than they showed last week, their offense falls apart when they can’t run the ball. Even if the Cardinals’ defense is able to stand tall, the Vikings offense won’t need to do much in order to cover this spread on Sunday.

Cardinals vs. Vikings Best Prop Bets

Sam Darnold Under 257.5 Passing Yards (-117) at Caesars Sportsbook

Arizona’s defense will come out strong in this crucial NFC matchup. They did an excellent job against the Seahawks, holding firm until an eight-minute fourth-quarter drive sealed the game. The unit overcame the struggles of the Arizona offense, giving the team a chance to win the game.

Darnold was fantastic against the Bears but was held under 250 passing yards in the two games before that. The quarterback has been solid week-to-week, but games like last week have only happened a couple of times this season. Expect him to perform well but deliver numbers far below those from Week 12.

Kyler Murray Over 221.5 Passing Yards (-117) at Caesars Sportsbook

Nobody is more sick of the Cardinals losing than Kyler Murray. He has been great this season, helping the team to a surprising 6-5 start. He has been especially great as a passer over the last month, throwing for at least 260 yards in three of his previous four games.

Honestly, it may not matter how well Murray plays. Arizona will struggle to run the ball, leading to them throwing the ball a lot. Don’t be surprised if the Cardinals abandon the run game early to stay in a game they need to win on Sunday.

Kyler Murray Over 24.5 Rushing Yards (-113) at Caesars Sportsbook

While Minnesota is allowing a league-low 74.7 rushing yards per game, they have shown some cracks against scrambling quarterbacks. We saw that last week when they allowed Caleb Williams to rush for 33 yards on six carries (5.5 YPC), leading the team in rushing.

Murray is one of the most dangerous scramblers in the league, and the Vikings' aggressive defense will give him openings to run this weekend.
