Chargers vs. Falcons Picks, Predictions & Player Props: Will the Chargers Bounce Back on the Road?
-
Los Angeles is coming off a loss to Baltimore on Monday Night Football
-
Atlanta suffered a 32-point loss to Denver one week ago
-
The Falcons have the Buccaneers right on their tail in the NFC South
The Chargers travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons, with both teams coming off losses. Los Angeles is 7-4, while Atlanta is 6-5, and both teams are fighting for the playoffs.
The Chargers are in second place in the AFC West. The Falcons are first in the NFC South, with Tampa Bay behind them in the division.
We think Los Angeles has the clear advantage on the road with a better roster, but will they be able to defend Atlanta's great wide receiver duo? When the Falcons start throwing the ball well, teams have a hard time defending the attack.

Chargers vs. Falcons Odds
The following odds are courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
| Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Los Angeles Chargers | -2.5 (-110) | -142 | Over 48 (-108) |
| Atlanta Falcons | +2.5 (-110) | +120 | Under 48 (-112) |
Chargers vs. Falcons My Pick
We are taking the Chargers on the moneyline on the road against the Falcons. Los Angeles has had one of the best defenses in the NFL, and we think they will shut down Kirk Cousins.
Cousins has had a phenomenal year throwing the football but hasn’t faced a secondary like the Chargers.
Los Angeles is allowing only 15.9 points per game, which is first in the league. On the road, they allow only 13.2 points per game, and we think this will be enough to win the game.

Chargers vs. Falcons Predictions
The Falcons have an overpowering offense led by Kirk Cousins, but they will be tested in Week 13. Atlanta is also a little deflated as a team, having lost to the Broncos by 32 points one week ago.
The Chargers are playing great football in 2024 with new coach Jim Harbaugh. A new coach is exactly what Los Angeles needed to challenge them on the defensive side of the ball, and they have delivered.
Justin Herbert is also playing great football, throwing for 2,404 yards with 13 touchdowns and only one interception. There is nothing more dangerous than facing an offense with a quarterback that doesn’t turn the ball over, and that’s what the Falcons are going against this week.
The Chargers will throw the ball more than usual, with running back J.K. Dobbins being questionable. Look for Herbert to exploit Atlanta’s secondary and spread the ball all over the field.
Rookie Ladd McConkey has been a great acquisition for this Chargers offense, and we think he will find success in a Los Angeles victory.
Chargers vs. Falcons Best Player Props
Ladd Mcconkey Anytime Touchdown (+150) at FanDuel
The rookie has been one of the most impressive wide receivers in football. McConkey has 49 receptions for 698 yards and four touchdowns.
McConkey will be a massive part of the game plan this week, as we expect the Chargers to focus on him throughout the game.
Look for McConkey to be the primary receiver and for him to find the end zone.

Drake London Anytime Touchdown (+150) at FanDuel
London has been the best receiver in Atlanta this season. He has 61 receptions for 710 yards to go with six touchdowns.
He has been a massive part of the offense the last couple of weeks but hasn’t scored a touchdown in his previous two games.
We expect this to change as the Atlanta offense has looked lost the last few weeks. Look for the Falcons to focus on London in the red zone and for him to score a touchdown.

Kirk Cousins Under 237.5 Passing Yards (-114) at FanDuel
With the Chargers being one of the best defensive teams in the league, we expect Cousins to struggle in Week 13.
Los Angeles has a great pass rush and will pressure Cousins all game. We expect Atlanta to focus on its running game, which will reduce Cousins' opportunities to review this passing yard prop.
