Best Lions vs. Buccaneers Prop Bets: Will Mike Evans Score on Sunday?

The NFL Divisional Round continues this weekend. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will travel to Detroit to battle the Lions. The winner of this matchup will face either Green Bay or San Francisco in the NFC Championship.

The Buccaneers turned heads last Monday as they dominated the Philadelphia Eagles. The Tampa Bay defense held the Eagles to just nine offensive points.

Baker Mayfield has played incredibly well compared to his last few seasons. Nobody would have thought that Mayfield would be one win away from the conference title after being benched in Carolina last season.

The Lions stayed hot in their matchup against the Rams on Sunday and squeaked out a close 24-23 victory. While the defense isn’t the best in the league, they typically stay consistent and do the job when it matters.

Detroit had one of the best teams in the league all season, and they haven’t slowed down. Like Mayfield, Jared Goff has also taken his game to a new level this season.

Goff couldn’t have improved without the help of his two phenomenal running backs. David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs are the best one-two rushing duo in the league. The Lions rushing attack has helped lift a weight off Goff’s shoulders.

The Lions are one win away from appearing in their first NFC Championship game since 1991. Let’s break down our favorite props for the matchup!

Lions vs. Buccaneers NFL Divisional Round Playoffs Player Props

Amon-Ra St. Brown Over 91.5 Receiving Yards (-115) on FanDuel Sportsbook

To say that 2023 was a breakout season for Amon-Ra St. Brown would be an understatement. St. Brown went from having 1,161 yards and six touchdowns in 2022 to 1,515 yards and ten touchdowns this season.

St. Brown finished second in receptions, third in receiving yards, and fourth in touchdowns. Goff has been much more consistent, and his receiver’s numbers prove this fact. St. Brown has cleared 100 receiving yards in four of his last five outings.

The Buccaneers' pass defense had a tough time covering St. Brown in their week five matchup, as he recorded 12 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown.

Tampa Bay gives up 248.9 passing yards per game, the 28th most in the league. We expect St. Brown to have his way once again with Tampa Bay.

Josh Reynolds Longest Reception Over 18.5 Yards (-110) on FanDuel Sportsbook

Detroit has surrounded Goff with plenty of weapons that got them to this point in the postseason. It seems someone is always open between Sam LaPorta, St. Brown, and Josh Reynolds.

Reynolds is one of Goff’s favorite targets. With LaPorta still slightly banged up from his knee injury in Week 18, Reynolds should play a larger offensive role.

Goff has been throwing the ball down the field more this year than any other in his career. Reynolds has cashed in on his opportunities, averaging 21 yards on his longest catch in the past six games.

With Tampa Bay’s passing defense ranking close to worst in the league, Goff should continue relying on Reynolds when he needs a big play.

Mike Evans Anytime Touchdown (+100) on FanDuel Sportsbook

Mike Evans recorded his 10th consecutive 1,000-yard season with Mayfield under center. Mayfield has thrown the ball well enough to break the top ten in almost every quarterback category.

Evans finished this season with a league-high 13 touchdowns but hasn’t scored in three games. Evans has been a deep threat since entering the league in 2014. We expect Evans to get his share of the targets in the red zone, including a few potential deep balls.

The Lions have allowed 28 passing touchdowns this season, ranking them 26th in the league. While Detroit is one of the most well-rounded teams in the NFL, this doesn’t seem like a blowout one way or another.

Another reason we love this prop is because the matchup presents a great possibility of a shootout. Shootouts lead to points and big statistical performances.
