Best NHL Player Props December 19

This Tuesday night is huge in the NHL as multiple games are being played on ESPN+ for Hockey Night. These games will be some of the most enjoyable games of the week as one game could be an Eastern Conference finals preview. These games will also be great opportunities for fans of the sport to go to DraftKings and place bets for significant earnings baseball player props.

Here are our favorite NHL player prop picks for Tuesday.

The following odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook, where the NHL Prop Bets can be made. Check out the best NHL bonuses and promo codes for more betting opportunities.

St. Louis Blues vs. Tampa Bay Lightning

My Pick – Nikita Kucherov to Account for Over 1.5 Points (-135) at DraftKings

The Tampa Bay Lightning possesses the most explosive and productive offensive player in the league in forward Nikita Kucherov. In 31 games this season, Kucherov has accounted for a league-high 52 points, with 20 being goals and 32 being assists. It is to be expected that he should have at least two points in a game for the Lighting. Kucherov has accounted for two points in five of the last seven games.

Kucherov and the Lightning have a tough task ahead of them on Tuesday night as they host the St. Louis Blues. The Blues are trying to get back to their winning streak as they have two wins under a new interim head coach and are feeling confident.

The Blues, however, possess a defense ranking 21st in the league in goals allowed per game (3.27). This game should be another solid opportunity for Kucherov to make his case for league MVP and continue his production season.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Chicago Blackhawks

My Pick – Mikko Rantanen to Account for Over 1.5 Points (+114) at DraftKings

Among one of the games tonight that is expected to be a potential blowout is the Colorado Avalanche going on the road to take on the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks possessed one of the worst defenses in the league as they allowed an average of 3.6 goals per game, the third worst in the NHL.

The Avalanche, on the other hand, possesses one of the most productive offices in the league thanks to the stellar play of their big three, including forward Mikko Rantanen. In 31 games this season, he has accounted for 39 points, with 15 coming from goals and 24 being assists. He has only accounted for a point in each of the last two games but accounted for three points each in the two games before.

Rantanen will look to get back on track towards a highly productive performance after a missed opportunity against the San Jose Sharks in the game before.

Detroit Red Wings vs. Anaheim Ducks

My Pick – Kevin Fiala to Account for Over 0.5 Assist (-120) at DraftKings

The final game of the night is set for a potential blowout as the Los Angeles Kings go on the road to take on the San Jose Sharks. The Kings possess one of the most elite and productive offenses in the NHL, while the Sharks are ranked last in the league in goals allowed per game (3.9). The Kings possessed the 4th ranked scoring offense in the league averaging 3.56 goals per game.

One of the biggest reasons for the King's success on the ice is their efficiency in passing the puck around for solid scoring opportunities. Leading the charge for the Kings’ productivity in assists is forward Kevin Fiala, who has accounted for a team-high 21 assists this season.

He has accounted for an assist in six of the last seven games for Los Angeles. With the Sharks still playing bad defensively, Fiala and the Kings should have huge performances.
