Two Western Conference teams on completely different ends of the playoff race face off as the Winnipeg Jets host the San Jose Sharks. This game tonight would be the third time this season the two teams would meet with both teams having a 2-1 win.
While the Jets are not the explosive offense they were at the beginning of the season (averaging 3.02 goals per game – 17th in the league), they are still efficient to get on the scoreboard consistently. It also helps that the Sharks possess easily the worst defense in the league by allowing a league-high 3.82 goals per game.
In the three games played for the Jets after the NHL All-Star Break, center Mark Scheifele is the only player who has accounted for more than one point. Look for Scheifele to account for a solid performance against the worst team in the league.

The final game of the night is set for a divisional matchup between the Minnesota Wild and the Arizona Coyotes. The only time that the Wild and the Coyotes faced each other, the Coyotes dominated the Wild 6-0 last month.
Since then, the Wild have won seven of their ten games and went above .500% in their overall record. The Coyotes have lost two of their last ten games and gone below .500%.
Since the NHL All-Star Break, Wild forward Matthew Boldy has accounted for two goals and three assists in the five games played. He, along with defender Brock Faber and star forward Kirill Kaprizov, have kicked up the intensity for the Wild.
The Wild are taking on a Coyotes’ defense that ranks 18th in the league in goals allowed per game (3.14) and has been getting worse as the season progresses. Look for Boldy to account for a huge game in this rivalry matchup.
